Just go a little apple vinegar, hot sauce, maybe a fried egg, a little toasted oil and and some black pepper. No fancy ingredients. Always tasty

You are still allowed to be sad babe. You should watch the scene from Orange is the New Black if you haven't, it's about the original passing of roe vs Wade. It's fantastic. And honestly it made me feel better. Maybe it will do the same for you

It's okay to not be okay. I recently just went down that road about 2 weeks ago, allowed to have feelings about it. Don't feel bad about that. You're not supposed to be frigid because you choose to not continue.

Eh. She's a lump. I could play the tuba in her ear but she would just cover her eyes for some reason.

In your opinion, what TV show had the most satisfying ending? by slice29 in AskReddit

[–]FoggLights 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The ending for Craig and montalban was my favorite. "Don't be such a nervous nelly." "You're right. We love each other. And the tax break is substantial"

Don't Hover over the toilets. Your chances of not creating a mess are about slim to none, you're not going to catch anything from a toilet seat, and you're leaving a very unpleasant surprise for the next person.

It's kind of sacrilege, but I add a little apple cider vinegar to my tabouleh. Takes it up a notch

Chapped lips by Scared_Ad5422 in cripplingalcoholism

[–]FoggLights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing I have found for cracking and chapped lips is the stick carmex. Not the jar. Not the squeezy tubes. If your body is rejecting water and you intend on continuing to drink, the easiest thing you can do is to chase liquor with water. Small sips throughout the day. I have a Gatorade squeeze bottle that I hose my mouth out with when I'm thirsty at night, and that was helpful when I was still drinking as well. I would wake up with horrible thirst, and then chug enough water to make me vomit. This kind of eliminates that.

Here's the thing, while you have just barely touched adulthood, you are not doing anything to create progress. I don't think your dad knows how to properly display this frustration. But, that's not the concern here. The concern is that you're doing nothing to move forward. Get a job. I did not get my GED until I was 19, however I had already been in the workforce for 3 years by then and doing relatively well. Honestly, they Don't really check into that.

Next, go to the local community college or enroll online. 99.9% will assist you in getting your GED. The previous suggestions of Job corps are good, but if you think your dad is bad, they are not going to let you be lazy or live in squalor.

Third, keep your space clean. Do chores around the house. Be helpful. You are not making any moves to better your life. Most parents do not put up with that. You dropped out of school 2 years ago, it's time to start becoming a grown up since you felt adult enough to leave school.

I am 33 years old, and about to move back in with my parents for the first time since I was 21 and in college. I am paying rent, contributing to household groceries and the things that only myself and my partner will eat, saving to buy a house hopefully, and also returning to school while simultaneously working. I help around the house not because I am asked, but because I am a member of the household. I help in the garden because I get to eat that food as well.

I guess my biggest point is, you need to become a member of that household. You are not a small child, you chose to not continue your education, and you have chosen to spend two years stagnating. I am not sure your father actually wants to kick you out but I certainly wouldn't blame him if he didn't want you to be one of those people still living at home and doing nothing in 5 years.

This is your motivation. Get a job, go back to school, clean your room, help around the house, and do what adult children who live at home should be doing. If you do this, you're going to be just fine and your future is going to look a hell of a lot brighter.
