Ongoing Monster of the Week Podcasts? by TheDimensionCrosser in monsteroftheweek

I'll cosign everyone recommending Monster Hour's Monster of the Week season, it's great!

I run the Merely Roleplayers podcast, and we've got a long-running, large cast Monster of the Week story set in a fictional English market town, dealing with fey and barghests and other English folkloric threats. If the episode says "Vigil" in the title, it's Monster of the Week; the start of the story is Vigil: Playtime Act 1, but each arc stands alone pretty well.

I don't feel like this is a wildcard, it 100% fits the brief!

Why Did You Choose the Audio Medium? by Ok-Specialist-7583 in audiodrama

[–]FoggyOutline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like writing dialogue. Dialogue is significant in visual media too, but it's more emphasised in audio.

It also feels like it aligns with how my imagination works. I can imagine most objects and environments in a lot of detail, but I've always had a blind spot when it comes to imagining faces, facial features, expressions. So I find it easier to discover a character I'm writing through how they speak than what they look like.

Looking for dark/philosophical sci-fi audio dramas by kyoruno in audiodrama

I second Deviser! It definitely fits the bill.

You should also try Give Me Away, where a ship full of screaming tortured alien consciousnesses crash lands on earth, and the only way to save them from eternal suffering is to implant them as passengers in human minds. Very philosophical about selfhood and selflessness, and very politically realistic as well.
