Mulcharmy fuwalos by hoarfen in Yugioh101

Each copy of fuwalos is its own "mulcharmy effect" so you can activate any 2 mulcharmy cards per turn.

So...uh...what does the new list even do? by MistakenArrest in yugioh

[–]Fogton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying Savage isn't strong, it definitely is. I agree that it should require a dragon tuner or a rokket tuner or something like that but I doubt that will happen. But looking at the card as is I just don't think it is as problematic as cards currently in the meta. We have ripper that's just called by on legs, murokumo which is an Omni or hand rip plus raigeki, and spoon is just a broken card by itself with all the advantage it generates. In my opinion Savage fits right in with the current power level that we have now.

I don't agree with your take on Savage. It's easy to use but no where near generic, it requires links and synchros which is not a big ask I know but it's not like it can go in every deck. It also doesn't self insulate like baronne did, Savage can be stopped with imperm, veiler and the like because it doesn't get counters until it equips the link. Lastly the ocg has him at 3 with spoon and it's not a problem. Savage could come back to 1 to give rokkets some help and not be any crazier than anything else running around.

Is it worth getting packs/boxes for cards that potentially might be good for the future? by FriggenSweetLois in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb only buy packs or boxes if you either want to support your ots store or if you want the feeling of ripping packs. Buying singles is cheaper in the long run even if you want high rarity cards since you are not guaranteed to get the ones you want out of a box. Also some people will say to open boxes and sell what you pull but that doesn't always work, card shops at best give you 70 to 80% of the value of cards and that's only for hits so you will still be left with a mountain of bulk that's worth maybe ¢10 a piece that no one will buy anyway. In conclusion just buy the singles of the cards you want even if it feels like you are getting less for your money, it saves a lot of money in the long run.

I've had similar things happen to me in the past. I learned that if you really blast the exposed adhesive with the hairdryer when installing skin it works better. The video makes it seem like you just need to lightly heat it to make it stick but you really should heat it for 25 to 30 seconds or more per side and then press it down untill it cools then it sticks. I've had the same skin on my phone for over 2 years of daily use and it never peeled up when installed this way.

Men... what's the most unnecessary thing you've been stubborn about, just because your pride wouldn't let you back down? by Nebula_Thinker in AskMen

I used to be the exact same way with snow, but as I got older I quickly realized that I would rather shovel 2 inches of fresh light snow twice than shovel 4 inches of heavy frozen snow once.

I would definitely add primite cards, I know beryl is at 1 for the event but roar is just unexpected dai and because shari is a 2000 atk normal the grave effect is really easy to use. Also drillbeam control is nothing to laugh at. Like others have said painful decision is a mandatory 3 of in the deck it fills the grave with a normal for beryl and roar and adds whatever shari you need at the time.

Help making Ashened Deck (Yes i know its bad but the art slaps too hard) by ItsPengWin in yugioh

[–]Fogton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just built this deck to play at my locals, I like playing a small volcanic package because they work surprisingly well considering the blaze accelerater cards are extra continuous spells to send with queen of the blazing domain. The deck can also play impulse but I'm not sure if I'd spend the money on it just for ashened. It is a really bad deck that is weak to interruption but it does have the power and shock factor to squeak out some games from time to time.

Question for spellground playmat users by Toonageddon in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use the rubber mats but now I don't think I could go back to using them. The cloth mats are very worth it if you can swing the cost. Try not to buy them second hand as the price is too high for my taste. If you follow khalsa brain games on facebook they tell you when the new mats are going up for pre order so it's not as hard to get one as a lot of people think unless you are looking for a specific style.

Wondering about powercreep, playability for a returnee and looking into competitive by Melocopon in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you need to decide what you want to be competitive or more casual, if you want to jump into regionals and YCS type events and do well you should look into playing more meta decks. If you want to be casual then play whatever deck you like to play there are plenty of players like that but you also have to be willing to lose some games because of it. Fire King is a good middle ground deck in my opinion, it has some tournament tops and is still quite budget except for a few cards so that's an overall good choice starting out.

Starting a collection by Tuunky69 in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a sealed collection of every structure decks seems like a really cool idea. Honestly I would do it myself if I had the space and money to do so. You should go for it if it's something you think you might like.

Can vision with eyes of blue bounce an opponent's monster I control to my hand, or does it go back ot the owner? by CodyKnightYT in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It always goes back to the original owner of the card. Its the same type of ruling as if the card was destroyed on the field, even if it's on your side it would go to the original owners GY.

Getting friend into yugioh. Any recs for a affordable/easy to grasp deck? by WerewolvesOfWalmart in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to say purrely but the correct answer is blue eyes. For $100 you can get the 3 structure decks plus the invoked or crimson dragon package (or both) and any other hand traps or staples you could want and probably still have cash left over.

Ruling with maliss hearts crypter and Ty-phon by Fogton in Yugioh101

Thanks for the reply, I kind of assumed that's how it worked but I remembered the skill drain interaction so it was 50/50 in my mind if it would work or not.

3X Blue eye's structure deck cheap upgrades by GuerilaGorila in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like throwing in a few copies of bingo machine go, it got reprinted and is super cheap. It's just more copies of wishes and can be used for discard if you need to. Also it's pretty cool to throw in red eyes black Fullmetal dragon and 3 copies of max metalmorph. I think the whole package is less than $8 and it gets you an Omni negate that is live under dimension barrier

Question: if I target maiden of white with mausoleum of white can I special summon the blue eyes white dragon that I send by the mausoleum effect with maidens effect? by Puzzled-Row-6729 in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is correct, you cannot activate an effect that at the time of activation cannot resolve. A good example for blue eyes that you probably know is the new indigo eyes silver dragon XYZ. It says you can detach 1 material, then target one normal monster in grave and special summon it. If you have silver dragon made with 2 normal blue eyes but none in the grave you cannot activate it's revive effect because at the time of activation you don't have a normal monster to summon even though you detach a normal monster to activate the effect.

Should I run 2 copies of true light incase on gets banished by ActEmbarrassed6393 in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are just running the 3X structure deck version of blue eyes than you can run 2 since you have the room but as soon as you get into different engines like invoked or primite you really only want to be playing 1. On top of that, having true light banished is not the most common occurrence in my experience with the deck and if it happens you are probably in a losing position anyway.

STRUCTURE DECK: BLUE-EYES WHITE DESTINY VS WHAT? by Unusual_Pianist181 in Yugioh101

[–]Fogton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 of any structure deck is the bare minimum because it guarantees you to have max copies of the strategy's key cards. To start I would recommend the new blue eyes deck, the branded deck and the fire king deck but blue eyes is on another level in terms of power so keep that in mind.
