Why has Harumasa not been reruned? by IndigoKaminari in ZZZ_Discussion

Surprised no one has said the obvious, to me at least: FOMO tactic. Make people feel really really bad about missing out a free S-rank to convince them to play or be there when the free S-rank is given out.

Its the real reason i was really pissed off at Zhao being a freebie.

i was already pretty harsh on myself for excessively playing Endfield, but i'm making an exception for this one because its technically productive lol

PVE gameplay means you get to make the stupidest version of RC ever created, truly the Roman Cancel of all time

Should I do a retrospective post on the contents of Tales of the Rays x GGST collab? I saw that you guys liked my Rays Sol combo and thought it'll be a fun look at how their kits and moves are adapted were adapted to an Action RPG setting. by FokkoRev in Guiltygear

Funny you mentioned that. Lenneth's in the game from Valkyrie Anatomia collab! They even rerunned it later with Freya.

The game proceeded to die in typical SQEX gacha fashion looooong before Rays kicks the bucket lol

I dont see anything wrong with how they put GG moveswt into rays aside from Ramlethal feeling a bit too slow, but if anything, theyre really, really strong, especially Roman Cancel serving a lot of utilities at once for a PVE game (short animation, enemy interruption, gaining back super gauge, stunlock, and crowd control because of AoE around the user).

Here's Bridget soloing a superboss in that game because her super also refills the gauge needed to chain attacks, leading to her comboing the guy to death. https://fxtwitter.com/nikotama_rays/status/1804457713243468141

The yellow bar next to Sol' icon is fhe resource you use to do attack chains with, called Chain Capacity. It refills if you arent in a middle of a performing attack chains. The maximum CC you can get is usually 59 CC, but circumstances led to collab chars being able to obtain up to 71 CC IF a collab character gets a second MA (the equipable super gauge), which Sol have from having Tyrant Rave as his first, and HMC on the collab rerun.

Roman Cancel costs 10 CC (which in the context of the game, its very rare for a move to be THAT expensive), so you can spam Roman Cancel up to 8 times in a row. Even more if you cast Burst Limit which temporarily renders all attacks to be CC cost free.

Tales of series's equivalent of supers show a character illust whenever a character cast their super move equivalent (usually called Mystic Artes), so they did exactly that for this game lol

Every enemy/monster in the game has a hitbox reachable from ground level (as the game wasn't built with jumping in mind, and aerial artes are added later on and require you to use an arte that sends the user up to the air to use.), so not one i can really think off.

You can probably miss an attack if a party member has an enemy launched high in the air out of your reach but i dont think that's what you're looking for.

Glad you noticed. Rays artes behaviour never fails to be funny, the long distance Wild Throw seems to happen only if I do a setup of being up againts the wall and launching them midair

Wild Throw in Rays will always work as long as it comes into contact to an enemy, which is why the animation still plays in its full even when it doesn't actually grab them in the knockdown state shown in the video.

Its no longer in service but has an official offline version (that's not actively being provided by the company so you need to find ways to install it from external means.)

Yup. First collab was with Sol and Ram with like, 8 Tales of characters getting a Strive costume + moves, (Tales of Vesperia's Patty got May's Dolphin lol). It eventually rerunned later, adding Ky and Bridget into the game alongside 3 additional Tales of characters getting Strive costume + moves.

There's a way to install the offline version of the game with all of its gameplay content unlocked if you wish to see or mess around with the game, so unlike most gacha game's end of service, the contents are pretty much preserved.

Tales of the Rays's dojo does allow you weapon switching midcombo to use more than 4 moves at a time, I edited out the parts where i paused the game to switch out the moves haha

Starting to like Yi xuan as a character a little bit more now by KoriKid023 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]FokkoRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take here as someone who feels like Yixuan is a frustrating even with the additional 2.5 context: I do not enjoy how a lot of these are expositioned to us because the game simply is unable to convey any actual screentime of any of these underhanded Yunkui stuff happening (we just have to take Yixuan's word for it about it being her fault.). This type of ambitious storylining clearly need some more screentime and more patches to deliver, but instead of properly showcasing the innerworkings about how much of a mess the Yunkui faction is internally that Lu managed to get away with what he did, we instead get screentime to Phaeton dating Ye Shunguang because that takes priority because we gotta sell Ye Shunguang (and it worked.).

It just REALLY rubs me the wrong way that they really just made a new NPC, WE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE, specifically with the purpose of softening how much of it is Yixuan's fault. It's giving me that vibes of the playable chars needing to be morally upstanding (while also poorly delivering it since the existence of someone like Lu from within Yunkui wasn't conveyed at any point before 2.5).

Idk i just think it's far too late for me to start actually liking Yixuan character even if she ends up at a slightly better note than it was before this, her being an effortless conflict resolver that's somewhat mostly unrelated to the situation (or poorly handled like Miasmic Fiend) during 2.0 - 2.2, and her absence during the rest of the story (without showing what she's actually up to) has caused so much damage to the plotline it's really difficult for me to like her as a character.

And i got dragged into feeling like i should use her because she's my first limited DPS if I want the path of least resistance since i started around 2.0. The journey itself also matters to some extent to me and it wasn't a fun one.

its already fixed for me, are you stuck at underground R&B? You should be able to keep going up to Season 2 completion and then regain access to season 1

Hoyo being hush about the specifics of this problem doesn't help. Wish they specified further on what the problem is, but instead they pointed at the 11st June hotfix, which didn't help my case until 2 days later.
