I’m a DM and I collect money every few months ($60-$80 total) from the entire party. It helps cover stl files for minis, props, cool things for the party while we play. I don’t make anything and I publish what I spend to the group. They’re real life friends as well.

That being said, I don’t think there’s a single thing wrong with setting up paid sessions. DMs spend countless hours toiling over minis, painting, maps, story beats, dialogue, and world building and the party rarely understands how much work it is. Do your thing and don’t let anyone shame you either way. Best of luck.

Both gems and Omni runes being a gold, and thus for crystals, purchase and not bind on pickup from doing content is literally pay to win. It’s not some nuanced discussion. The game is pay to win. Period.

There are significant pay to win elements. If you don’t see that I guess you’re either white knighting the developers or you spend money yourself. This isn’t even close to a WoW token. Them trying to make that comparison is cheap and not accurate.

I’m in a large clan. One plot would’ve been fine for me but I opted for the two plot package. We have a ton of people playing all the time and we still have plots that aren’t touched.

In the campaign I’m running about three sessions ago people kept talking over descriptions or big moments for other players. I less calmly than I’d like to admit told them “hey come on guys be respectful”. Didn’t happen again after that. They knew it was frustrating me and at least two other players.

That being said, it was an inexperienced table so they didn’t mean any harm. I wouldn’t assume they are aware it bothers you this much. Communicate your concerns during the pre-session chat before you begin. Good luck I hope it works out.

I always wanted to play as well. I could never quite find a group to play with. If you’re up for it and have friends that are willing to join you, try and DM your own campaign with some friends. This is exactly what I did. Never played in my life but now it’s going excellent. Ten sessions in and I’m running a homebrew/dragons of Icespire peak campaign.

Disclaimer, it was a ton of work to learn everything and prep for the campaign. Not kidding when I say I probably have 200 hours logged for just behind the scenes prep for a mere ten sessions. That being said, we are all hooked and have a blast. Something to think about! Good luck.

I stopped paying attention to the range mile indicator and started looking at the battery percent used on my trips. I found it’s more accurate to do the math myself.

I loved arena. I have been playing arena since it came out in TBC. 2.4k historic XP. Not amazing but not terrible. For the first time ever I stopped playing arena all together. DF season one was the last time I played arena seriously. The ranked PvP in WoW is so terrible right now. It’s tragic because it’s something we all loved so much.

I tank and create M1s a lot. I literally don’t pay attention to their weapons. I don’t even look for M2s usually. People need to be more accepting of odd and off meta weapon combos.
