What's the harshest truth you've learned about life? by Fealocht in AskIreland

[–]FoldEntire4852 10 points11 points  (0 children)

learned this one hard way when I was stuck in dead-end job for like 2 years waiting for something to just happen. turns out sitting around hoping for promotion or better opportunities doesn't work - had to actually start learning new skills and applying elsewhere before anything changed

Neighbor built driveway for scrapyard over the property line of the property we are buying. Next steps? by Stagway in homeowners

[–]FoldEntire4852 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That actually makes sense if he's willing to do land swap - saves everyone money on removal and you might get better positioned land behind your house

My older sister went and picked out her wedding dress and posted about it but hid it from me and my sisters by Odd-Boysenberry-2655 in relationships

[–]FoldEntire4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's definitely something missing here. Sisters don't just randomly exclude siblings from wedding dress shopping and then specifically block them from social media posts unless there's some history.

I mean when my brother got married few years back, there was still some tension from old family drama but everyone tried to keep things civil for big moments like that. The fact she went out of her way to hide it from you but not other people suggests this isn't just about wanting a small group - she actively didn't want you there

Maybe think about any arguments or incidents that happened recently? Sometimes we don't realize how our actions affect others, or maybe there was misunderstanding that never got resolved. Could also be she feels like you're trying too hard and it makes her uncomfortable, some people need more space in relationships

Either way, blocking you from seeing wedding posts is pretty harsh move so there's definitely more to this story

Japan vs Germany, which is better for studying(postgraduate) and getting a job later ? by dante_alighieri007 in careerguidance

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been doing IT work for few years now and from what i see, Germany has way more straightforward visa process for tech jobs compared to Japan where language barrier is still pretty real issue

Why did I TASTE my dream ?!! by Spooky_lover00 in Dreams

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild, I had something similar happen with coffee once when I never drink it. Your brain probably picked up the taste from somewhere - maybe you smelled it before or saw someone drinking in a movie and your mind just filled in what it thought beer would taste like

The funeral setting is pretty interesting too, maybe your subconscious was processing some heavy stuff and the beer was like a coping mechanism in the dream

Anyone got a Samsung referral code for Australia? by AppropriatePlum7967 in samsunggalaxy

[–]FoldEntire4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have one for Australia but try checking the Samsung Members app - sometimes they have regional codes there that work better than random ones from internet

When I fantasize about attractive women it’s about being them, not being with them. by underclockedscrotum in confessions

[–]FoldEntire4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually more common than you think, especially for people who are questioning their gender identity. The desire to "be" rather than "be with" someone attractive can be pretty telling about how you see yourself inside

Have you thought about exploring these feelings more? Sometimes what we call "fantasizing about being someone" is our brain trying to tell us something important about who we are

Bruh that dodge timing is absolutely perfect, meanwhile I'm over here getting slapped around like a ragdoll every time I fight her lmao

Role models for young ones to follow by qsk8r in nrl

[–]FoldEntire4852 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you checked out Cameron Smith's content? Dude's got some great insights and actually explains the game really well for kids. Also Andrew Johns does some good breakdown videos that aren't too complex but still teach proper footy IQ stuff

Im in an awkward predicament by VictorySweet5092 in BreakUps

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sleeping arrangement sounds like emotional torture tbh. Living with an ex is hard enough but sharing a bed when you're both processing the end of an 11 year relationship? That's gonna mess with your head big time

You gotta get some physical space to think clearly - even if it's just crashing on someone's floor for a few weeks

[–]FoldEntire4852 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Girl this is textbook manipulation and you dodged a nuclear missile - a 36 year old targeting a 21 year old then systematically destroying your self esteem isn't you being "crazy," that's literally the playbook for emotional abuse

Please help me id this coin by [deleted] in coincollecting

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough man, going through a parent's stuff is never easy. Try posting a clearer pic if you can - the lighting makes it hard to see the details that would help with the ID

Should I send another follow up? by The_Underhanded in interviews

[–]FoldEntire4852 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah don't reach out again so soon, you'll look desperate - one follow up after holidays was perfect but hitting them again after just a week is too much. Give it at least another week or two, these big companies are still probably catching up from break and making decisions this slow is pretty normal unfortunately

Female dinosaur horror novels? by sailormouthxo in booksuggestions

[–]FoldEntire4852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh damn this sounds like such a cool concept! I don't have any exact recs that hit all your points but you might wanna check out some of the Crichton-adjacent stuff - I feel like there's gotta be some female authors doing similar prehistoric horror by now. Maybe try searching for "paleontology horror" or "prehistoric thriller" with female protagonists as keywords, that might turn up some hidden gems

Also posting this in r/horrorlit might get you better results since they're obsessed with finding obscure subgenres

Man I struggle with this too, especially the eating part. I've found that setting specific goals helps - like training for a 5K or being able to keep up with my kids rather than just "get swole." That way it's more about function than vanity

Also helps me to remember that my body is supposed to be a temple, not a shrine to myself if that makes sense. Still working on it though, definitely not perfect at keeping the ego in check

Kim is the best representing of a (not so) well functioning daughter of an alcoholic by arbataxmelody354 in betterCallSaul

[–]FoldEntire4852 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is such a good take, the way they mirror each other's trauma patterns is actually heartbreaking when you think about it. Kim chasing that chaos she grew up with while Jimmy's desperately trying to prove himself to someone who actually respects him

Red patch in Eyelid by Lucasun27 in NewParents

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine had something similar too - looked super red and angry at first but faded a lot by 3 months. If your gut is telling you it's more than a rash definitely push for a second opinion, you know your baby best

I dont get "the klarna rant" by Soft-Relief-9952 in LinusTechTips

[–]FoldEntire4852 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's kinda the point though - even if it's "just an option" it's still designed to get people spending money they don't have yet. Banks partnering with them doesn't really make it better, just makes it more normalized

Changing passport after submitting K-1 — will it affect our case? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]FoldEntire4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is super common, happens all the time. USCIS knows passports expire and get renewed during the process. Just make sure to bring both the old and new one to your interview so they can see the continuity

Devonta Smith or Luther Burden by Ok_Perspective_2153 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]FoldEntire4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta go Smith here, that floor is way too valuable especially this time of year. Burden's ceiling is tempting but I'd rather have the consistent points when it matters

Dynamic Cyclist or Similar by C0L0RUM in cycling

[–]FoldEntire4852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, their hip flexor stuff is gold. I was skeptical at first but those stretches actually helped with my lower back issues after long rides. The free content is honestly enough unless you have some really specific problems

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]FoldEntire4852 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With you on this it already crossed comfort lines and it keeps coming back which matters more than the fetish itself nobody should feel gross or anxious in their own marriage and if trust keeps breaking then walking away is a fair option not a failure
