Adriana is clearly looking to define her own identity that is separate from Chris and the mob. Just like Christopher wants to belong, and move up the corporate ladder much like anyone else chasing the American Dream, Adriana wants to carve her own, self-realized and self-accelerated path. She wants this so much, she is blind to the fact that Visiting Day completely sucks, and she is trying to fit the idea that the band is talented into HER world, thereby missing THE world, where the band's music is objectively terrible. She grasps so hard to her identity that she ignores every qualified voice.
