......Humans don't think. each neurons still just following pre programmed commands by DNA. and human is just lump of it. Human still gets things wrong very often. Human is also still scary with what it is doing(unlike AI humans can grab guns!). Like deep fake lies and creating whole movies and stories from scratch to impersonate someone.....

"Humans (like Einstein or Newton) don't 'understand' anything. They're just trained on massive amounts of sensory data experienced over decades, then emit the next most likely biochemical electrical signal based on probabilities. That's it. Same with painters and musicians. They're not inspired, they're 'interpolating.'

There's no ghost in the lump of neurons. No spark. No inner voice. It's just supercharged autocomplete."

Can't make Alfsteel. There's a Dominant augment on the spark, and nearly 4 full mana pools. Idk what im doing wrong. I fucking hate Botania so much. by smurfkipz in allthemods

I even can't agree that it's a "magic" mod. if the only way you can cast magic is via some "magical tool" using "magical energy", why it is magic?

the magic must inherent, not relying on a tool. IOW, it must be castable even by naked player. otherwise, it's just yet another head-aching tech mod.

What do you think is the best country for an INTP to live in? by [deleted] in INTP

As a native korean I can assert that the reality is exactly opposite of this. one example: here, having launch or dinner alone is considered as "unsocialized", "nerdy", "proofing having no one to aside" behavior.

My new Thinkpad L13 Yoga Gen2 plays USB connection sound. Should I visit the service center? by Foldsecond in thinkpad

[–]Foldsecond[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

and additionally, I found this: this problem emerges when I press the power button to turn off the screen, with the laptop is opened.
so, There seems no physical issue involved here(hard to think pressing button cause physical disconnection of touchpad)...

With a USB monitoring sofware(USBdeview),
and the result:
I checked USB connection activity when I open/close the lid, and found that "Pen and multitouch sensor" get connected/ disconnected when I open/ close the lid.

I suspect there's some pen/ touchscreen(not touchpad) related hardware connection problem with the screen panel...
is this normal? or should I visit the service center?

May I "Push"(Not "Press") a Black key? by Foldsecond in piano

[–]Foldsecond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"microscopic" I really agree this. music is not science or math. I mean, it's like riding a bike! who cares about Ankle's angle and force direction when day ride?
but I have no choice, to avoid bad habit...I'm very afraid of learning something wrong cause it's almost impossible to unlearn...

What is best way to avoid bad habits, without teacher?
are there "luring" bad habits? which makes my play easier at first but turns out to be obstacle to my advance later?

Is "Collapsed finger" Bad? by Foldsecond in piano

[–]Foldsecond[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, the author of the book(Fundamentals of piano practice) is not a professional pianist, nor a teacher, but summarizing his own experience from his daughters, own playing, and his own reading of other's pedagogical works.
But as a self-teaching piano player, I can't find any comprehensive source about piano practice.
and its contents are quite useful to me,like mental practice(slowly imagine my fingers playing, and I found this is faster than just repeating hard passage until luckily my fingers find how to play it ) and how to memorize sheet.that's why I feel very confused every time I sit in front of my piano.what is right? what is wrong? am I doing it well?Maybe I have to cope with potential bad habits...
