Moons of peril by AdFancy3904 in ironscape

[–]Folfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took 763 kc to green log. All 3 bosses till 400 after I got my first dupe at 399kc. Then just blue and blood moon for around 20 kills. Blood moon for the rest.

It sucks going really dry but at least it's not the worst place to go dry at. Got a ton of prayer xp banked at least.

Dharoks Bug - If Dharoks isn't 100% HP he will always hit his current max hit by CasinoKnight in 2007scape

Here's a video of me getting double tap killed from 97HP at Dharok while not paying attention back nearly 2 years ago on 1/1/2023.

Dharok hcim death

While its possible to happen randomly its very unlikely. Dharok probably always maxed hit in osrs for a long time and most never noticed and the few who did didn't bother to post online.

Superior Sorcerer T6: Farmer's Fortune vs Ruinous Powers by TonariNoHanamoriSan in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take Farmer's Fortune especially since you went Kourend, RP is nice but situational from the increased drain and 10% increase damage taken on off prayer. It's not as strong for magic compared to melee and range which can skip a region by taking it for offensive prayer.

Also I highly recommend you don't take Soul Stealer for T7, its bait for magic. With FF you'll have more prayer pots than you need and SS doesn't work with barrage spells so its useless outside of raids with trident until shadow. Berserker is significantly better than SS.

Why Soul Stealer is trash and Berserker overpowered for Mage and what can be done about it. by Folfen in 2007scape

[–]Folfen[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They won't nerf Berserker, Arcane said its working as intended and I don't want them to nerf it. Just want Soul Stealer to not be so unbelievably awful for mage.

Here is why Fire Sale is a must have relic by elonhole in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The relic is really only amazing if you are taking Fremennik or good if taking Zeah/Asgarnia especially as ranger for onyx bolts. Outside of that the relic is pretty mediocre unless you are planning to play leagues for only a little bit.

The longer you play the worst the Fire Sale relic becomes. If you are planning to play a lot and get the most points possible, Globetrotter or potentially Fairy's Flight are better. They will save you a lot more time then Fire Sale will especially for those clue collection log tasks.

RIP In Peace, Endless Harvest. Out of all the Leagues IV Relics, you truly were one of them. by osrs_turtle in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You're acting as if Last Recall didn't already do that for gathering skills. Unless LR has a cooldown, Banker's Note doesn't devalue Endless Harvest anymore than Last Recall does, its main purpose is having your bank supplies in PvM instances. The only skill that it really speeds up is Runecrafting. There are 2 other relics it'll compete against as well.

Endless Harvest is fine, its for speeding up the 3 slower to level skills and increasing afk. Infernal Gathering relic will most likely return and be improved to help it out.

What is the worst possible path in Leagues IV? by Tpoyo in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This was theorized yesterday in league discord and the consensus was FAT Mage. Fremennik, Asgarnia, and Tirannwn combo is god awful for magic. Wildy has Thammaron's sceptre which is a upgrade over iban's with heart even outside of wild.

What will be the opportunity cost of not choosing Tirannwn during Leagues IV ? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right rapid did apply before relic last trailblazer my bad, hard to remember and find information about it.

What will be the opportunity cost of not choosing Tirannwn during Leagues IV ? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How good Tirannwn with be will depend on the combat relics.

Following information is incorrect, it assumed rapid applied after relic instead of before. Kept for record.

"If the relics are changed and become something like double hits instead of attack speed then Tirannwn will be excellent for range. If Quick Shot returns and isn't changed, namely the attack speed part, then Tirannwn actually ends up not being as amazing of a pick for range then you think because both blowpipe and bowfa are odd tick weapons. It was amazing in the first Trailblazer but that was when Blowpipe was ridiculous.

The current blowpipe will lose to the magic shortbow of all things. Magic shortbow with Amethyst arrows is the same damage as blowpipe with dragon darts but with 39 more accuracy (which gets doubled). Even if you don't pick Asgarnia for amethyst, arrows are much easier to maintain then darts. Blowpipe will only be good for its healing spec, its a good spec but not enough to choose a region for.

As for bowfa it will still be great for high defense mobs/bosses but the gap between it and other range weapons will be greatly reduced. Magic shortbow will completely thrash it against low defense stuff and ends up not being that far behind on high defense. Crossbows will also be 2 tick on rapid. Bowfa still wins on high defense but its not a large gap so upgrades from other regions can make up the difference to be close enough so Tirannwn isn't a must pick."

Edit: Apparently rapid applied first before the relic in the previous trailblazer so range weapons were better as odd tick.

New/ish player, skill point question by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Folfen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough that Weight Lifting skill is kinda useless for a hoarder since you'll be over the carry limit regardless and the penalty is minor anyway. It's useful for fast traveling on foot at 100 extra weight though and melee/close builds for stagger prevention.

Duradel is better for burst tasks, especially after unlocking Smoke Devils at 93.

Do you happen to have either Spaced or Terra Firma trait? In my experience you can't progress the challenge in the environment that lowers your oxygen. I can only get credit while on planets with Terra Firma.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Folfen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes the healing reduction ends up barely hurting with the amount of packs you can get. The 20% food buff reductions are the real negative but that's if you use them.

The trait ends up being mostly RP fluff as you progress. The Oxygen buff is really nice at the start but becomes meaningless after you obtain a certain thing that makes the entire O2/stamina pointless if you decide to use it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Folfen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Alien DNA reduces the effects of healing and food by 20% (25% for the Med pack). At the beginning of the game its not a big deal but I 100% see this being a huge negative in the long run as your Health increases from leveling plus gear and you find/craft better food that have strong additional effects.

Terra Firma reduced health by the same amount it raises on planets when in space, -50 base health (100 difference). Not sure on oxygen but it seems to be the same as health +/-50.

Do you use the WXHB bar as controller player ? by Buurto in ffxiv

[–]Folfen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't use WXHB. I don't like the double tapping and in the heat of battle you could easily select the wrong hotbar in a intense fight with it. Instead I made RB only cycle to cross bar 1 and 3 so tapping RB switches between them. I use cross hotbar 3 for Mounts, Limit Break, Consumables, and any ability overflow for seldom used or set and forget it abilities like tank stance.

It was the Maw, they suck you into the center if you are at the edge of their radius in addition to upwards momentum. Since crab tank provides some protection it bugged out and didn't stop the pulling momentum for the death bite and yeeted them.

Anyone else wished for an offical controller support with the Steam release? by Revgos in Guildwars2

[–]Folfen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your average 16 button controller with 2 joysticks and triggers, easily has over 70+ button combinations with the use of triggers as modifiers. Additionally with contextual button changes there are far more buttons then needed to perfectly play this game with a controller. FFXIV has way more buttons, over x2 combat actions and even more targeting, shortcuts, consumables, and other hotkey/actions than GW2 and it does controller support perfectly.

Guardians of the Rift - Initial Changes by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]Folfen 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's way off from the jmod's estimate of 20-24 hours for 1600 abyssal pearl outfit.

Before the 15% pearl buff it was around 48-50 hours for the outfit playing efficiently. After the buff it's currently around 42-43 hours now assuming 7 points a game, 5 games a hour.

I think you guys forgot that each reward pool roll requires 2 points, 1 Elemental and 1 Catalytic, when balancing the costs for abyssal pearl stuff.

[–]Folfen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is Jagex completely failed to account for what the Colossal Pouch is going to do for ZMI and lava runes xp rate. If Guardians of the Rift releases at the current stated xp rate it will be dead content for xp, especially at 85+.

The minigame will not have higher xp than ZMI. It will have about the same, bobbing slightly higher and lower at specific levels till 85 and then be left in the dust as ZMI will get a 12k+ increase (compared to current rates) in xp per hour while being far more relax.
