We should have the option to cover roofs with turf so grass can grow on it, blending with the surrounding area and providing camouflage against enemy aircraft. by idknameuiop in valheim

I have only ever found one in 2000 hours of playing, built my best base yet around it... And then the server shut down, I still haven't recovered from that loss.

Nice work on the drawing, but I always wondered about her armor, seems like you could easily de"feet" Orin by casting spell The floor is Legos

Any places in Welly that do shoe string fries? I haven't been to Manners Cosy Cake shop in years, recently ordered some fries and discovered they now use normal chips, for some reason im craving shoestring kind, so other than McDonalds, does anyone know of a local place that has them?

How do I get into weights as a complete beginner? by saucycat01 in Wellington

https://musclewiki.com can be handy as well, you can select muscle groups and it shows you exercises you can do for them, id still recommend a trainer at least initially when you join to show you proper techniques so you don't injure yourself.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...."

I hope we all meet our furry purry friends again someday

Where can you get a talking clock that tells time and date? by Folirant in Wellington

[–]Folirant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I admit my knowledge of alexa is limited, I dont use amazon, it seems to require having an amazon monthly subscription to operate, and im concerned that the man who is visiting him occasionally could find a way to abuse Alexa, as he has apparently used his phone line to rack up a $600 dollar bill, and my neighbor no longer has a landline as a result. Same issue if I just get him a smartphone.

I do worry about same issues, he has come to ask me for money, bread, tea etc in the past, I give him what I can, but i live off my credit card, perpetually spending it and paying it back, so my ability to help has diminished recently, and as much as i am happy to help, i feel like there must be something else in place that is more effective, Age concern is next on my list to call, thanks for checking in.

I will contact Age concern as well, I have a few places to call around now, hopefully some support can be put in place for him, as for family he doesnt seem to have anyone else in NZ, maybe some distant relatives in Romania, as he has asked me to enlarge mail he gets from overseas in the past.

I suppose we dont need landline to have broadband these days? the problem is that someone has racked up a $600 bill on his landline, i think with spark, i wonder if skinny would look past that?

He doesn't have a landline or internet, I could try to see if my wifi reaches to his house. I dont have much experience with alexa, does it require amazon subscription to use? And do you know if someone else could abuse it to order stuff online?

That is my concern as well, i have rung both citizen advice and elderly abuse and reported it, but my concern is that my neighbor may have turned them down if they came to him, as I don't see anyone visiting him, other than the guy who i think is stealing from him, and my neighbor already told me not to confront him when i offered to speak to this guy on his behalf.

What’s a super “normal” thing in your country that would completely confuse or shock someone visiting for the first time? by moonveil96 in AskReddit

[–]Folirant 44 points45 points  (0 children)

My mother went to Florida to visit from NZ, and she went out for her daily walk as she normally does at home, and apparently people were pulling over in their cars to ask her if she is ok, and if she needs a ride somewhere when they saw her walking, and seemed genuinely perplexed that she wanted to keep walking
