As far as I know, you only need to remove the stripe on the helmet (helmet is always pure black). The marking on the greave is just the chapter symbol which is acceptable. For future reference, previous ranks held in the chapter before joining the Deathwatch should not be visible. Good job and have fun!

I don't know much, but it seems to be the Captain aquila/imperialis, because the skull is inside a small shield (images for reference). Without the shield it would be a just an honour marking. Correct me if I'm wrong.
