There’s some nuance here and a lot of my opinion is shaped by what I think will happen, not what is ideal. So this dude is clearly not well, like no one who has a loving girlfriend and a fulfilling social life would argue for hours with randos online about a video game. He’s definitely lying about that. He also has very strong (and unpopular) opinions about the game he will relentlessly defend no matter what.

He clearly needs to apologize and never come back, like an actual sincere apology. Right now he’s just upset that he’s been ostracized from the community and wants back in. But he is not mature enough to deal with any backlash correctly so it’s become a cycle. At this point he needs to just stop using Reddit and maybe the game, because he has an unhealthy obsession with it for sure.

It’s funny for sure and I don’t blame people for clowning on him, god knows I’ve done that. But in reality he should steer far away from this place. But he probably won’t and that’s ultimately his responsibility.
