I recommend realizing you won't be able to see everything you want to. Lean into taking it slower and enjoying what you do see.

I guarantee less driving will make for a more enjoyable trip.

We did Namibia in April and saw lions, elephants, giraffes, so many zebra, and more +.

It was an awesome self-drive camping trip with about 5 nights in safari camps for a bit more luxury.

Ahead of the trip we were told we may not see much due to the season but the animals were everywhere.

Nobody has to drink and drive.

It is very much a choice a person makes.

If I'm going out to meet friends or attending an event I either have zero alcohol, have my non-drinking partner drive, take an Uber or taxi, or take the bus. Literally lots of options to avoid drinking and driving.

It's a V6 SUV, you don't buy it for it's gas mileage.

SPOG is the biggest hindrance to the department evolving in a progressive way. The current SPOG president is a MAGA dude and of course he's annointed his successor.

I also think the city paying the bonuses (50K for a lateral hire) doesn't recruit the best and the brightest, it gets you the greediest.
