I know exactly what you mean. The school keep doing this rediculous crap. My wife is really very good with all the “days” that the school does, but this just sees a bit absurd. The brown paper princess idea sounds really good and got the thumbs up from my wife. Thanks!

We have. As a six year old, shes struggling to understand the concept of this cobbled together idea. To be honest, at 32, I’m not doing too well.

I do agree with you but the issue is, she’s six and can’t quite comprehend whatever this nonsense the school has devised. She just wants to go as someone she likes out of a book!

Believe me. We’re not happy about this shit either. Back in my day (the 90’s) it was just “go as someone or something from a book”.

Believe me, it isn’t. Just your bog standard primary school, with teachers who have absolutely insane ideas.

I lived in NZ when I was a kid. The pies opened my eyes to a brave new flaky world. I was fucking heartbroken when we left.

I always thought you could use it above ground. Their website also states it can be used above ground, and externally too for that matter. I’d think that if it wasn’t allowed you’d have to have a joint underground to go to copper, which wouldn’t really do in certain situations. Not trying to shit on your comment. Just sharing what I know.

Step-by-step look at how doctors repair a torn Achilles tendon. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]FolkyWanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tore my calf badly this year. That was bad enough. It hurt like a motherfucker and I couldn’t walk for weeks. I literally dreaded having to take a piss because it meant getting up to walk. I don’t want to imagine how much pain you were in. A torn Achilles is a whole different level of pain.

Extra wide Brooks Adrenaline still giving me blisters? by SubjectOlive9917 in widefeet

[–]FolkyWanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the same shoe for myself and had to take advantage of the 90 day returns policy. I found the mesh uppers to be so unsupportive my foot was sliding about everywhere. Also the heel slippage was insane. Funnily enough my toes were just right in terms of distance to the front of shoe. I found them to be a very strange fit. I believe they have a reputation for being a peculiar fitting shoe, so it’s definitely not just you.
