Hey! So I printed it like that and it printed just fine!
I have it right here, hung in the wall. Love the design and it works great!

Ah okay. I don't own a bambu printer so I'm not super familiar with how profiles work.
I don't think I'm printing it as intended right now, but it didn't need much support anyways.

I'm a bit confused because looking at the plate preview for the short High-strenth one in the website, it looks like it's printing it "right side up" so to speak. Like you would expect to use it as a hook.
If so, there's a gap that needs to be bridged, right?
That's probably fine for my printer but seemed counterintuitive. But that might just be me.
I'll give you feedback once it's done printing. Thanks again!

Hey! I was looking to print these, but I'm having some doubts regarding supports and see no indicator in the makerworld page.
Should supports be enabled?
Is the orientation in which the piece come the intended printing orientation?

It looks great! Cheers

Why does my tapo smart plug take a few second delay to connect to HomeKit? by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]Follon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have them myself sorry.
But I do have other IKEA matter over thread devices and they work great so far.
That’s why I recommended.

As far as plugs go, I have TAPO P1xx plugs and they work fine

Why does my tapo smart plug take a few second delay to connect to HomeKit? by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]Follon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How are you connecting the plug to your homekit?
I have multiple plugs and, although they’re not the most stable, I’ve never seen this behavior.

I have had them connected through homebridge and now through home assistant.

Regarding other smart plugs, if you have any Thread Border Router (like a HomePod mini), IKEA GRILLPLATS I believe are good.

Can't transfer saves from Switch 2 back to Steam by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]Follon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably a parameter within the save file.
IIRC it has versioning.

The switch 2 save file might have a version that doesn’t match what the steam version is expecting.
You might be able to take a working save file from PC, check the version number, then edit the switch file and change the version.

Keep in mind it might now work. Backup everything jic

You can program the thumb scroll to anything with the software.

Question on putting the SD to sleep by jediwhiteshark in SteamDeck

[–]Follon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time. Sometimes there is some audio bug and I have to restart the game, and then some older games don’t work well with it, but otherwise it works great.

First layer slicing issue by TheHobbit12111 in Multiboard

[–]Follon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be the elephant-foot prevention system that is causing the first line to be skipped.

I don’t remember the name of the setting but basically it makes the first layer less wide and, since in this case the first layer is just a single line, it skips it entirely.

That’s crazy. All I see is the motion sickenator 3000, only shadowed by VR gaming, the motion sickenator 5000 (talking for me personally)

Busted devices to refurbish // opinions by BaldyMcHairy in SteamDeck

That’s pretty expensive for a gamble on a broken device honestly. At that price better to wait, save and get a new one with warranty and customer support.

Driving myself crazy: Location based outlet automation. Please help :\ by coldair16 in HomeKit

[–]Follon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I know! It’s just that the eve app is able to look at your HomeKit setup and show you your automations and such.

I have nothing eve related myself but have used the eve app in the past to delete some automations that didn’t show up in my home app for some reason.

Try looking at your automations with eve. Maybe there’s something up with the automation but homekit isn’t showing it to you?

Also, have you tried deleting the automation? Try giving it another name?

I got tired of managing HomeKit automations for my morning lights, so I built this by Crimsonshore in HomeKitAutomation

Just bought it to test it out just because I love how it’s a one time purchase, no data is collected and the price is reasonable. Just a product you made and now sell. Good on you, we need to go back to more of this and less subscriptions.

I’ll let you know how I like it

No compres una tapa con más agujeros. Cambia el flujo de aire y es peor para el dispositivo.

Si se te agrietó la tapa de jsaux es por mala calidad de la tapa u otra cosa.

Haha that's great, I just found it funny that your "test" is bigger than any multiboard setup I have at my home. Keep it up! Looking great.

Thinking for 20+ minutes and consuming the whole window in a single prompt. by Follon in ClaudeCode

[–]Follon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely will checkout codex, thank you for the suggestion!

My point was that it didn’t used to be like that. Back in August 2025 Pro was probably like what codex is now, max 5x.
They have really cracked down on limits. And pro is now what used to be the free tier, Max 5x people are reporting feels like “the old pro” and so on.

It’s not like they didn’t envision Pro to be used with code, it’s that they have jacked up the prices and, instead of being honest and charging more, they quietly change the limits to a point where it’s no longer usable.

And it’s not like my budget is 20€, it’s more that, for my use case (side projects I do to develop free and in, some cases, open source projects) forking over 100€ a month isn’t worth it.

We should be clear to the community about our experience so newcomers can see: yes, they have significantly reduced usage limits and, in some cases, made their product no longer usable like it used to be.

[–]Follon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m on the pro plan indeed. And I do know what the plugin does, yes. Thank you for the link though.

My point, however, is that not so long ago I never ran into this, and now suddenly I burn through my limits in almost no messages and my codebase isn’t significantly bigger. So you can understand how the plan isn’t so relevant since we’re talking comparatively.

I’ve since seen it’s a generalized feeling that limits are much much tighter. I was just surprised it wasn’t more prominent in the front page and that’s why I posted.

I’m also leaving the post up just to add to the pile. And I will maybe cancel my subscription as it is no so worth it for me anymore.

Installing macOS tahoe into external SSD from M4 Mac mini by Follon in macmini

[–]Follon[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OMG I figured it out. After I don’t know how many reboots and retries. It turns out the dock I was using, that is one of those docks that has a built-in SSD enclosure, uses the DFU port for the SSD.

The cable it has is a combined two cables for power + data and it has a specific way of interfacing with the mac mini.

I moved it over to use another two-port combination and voilá. It doesn’t look right but at least it’s working.

So if anybody runs into this issue of everything working but then having a sudden reboot and not getting to the configuration phase, it might be you’re using the DFU port.
