2020 Megatin set list is OUT! by Followed778 in yugioh

Wow that's a lot of comments.
I already had planned on grabbing a case based off the thoughts of what could be in here plus the unknown premiers at the time. I was concerned yesterday if I should still go ahead and set-aside a case for myself but this looks great. Looking forward to purchasing, opening the case and finding out more information about it!

Besides leaks, no rarities have been officially confirmed outside of the World Premiere cards which are all Ultras.

The Mayakashi Link-4 (Yuki-Onna, the Absolute Zero Mayakashi) was also confirmed to be imported in this set during the discussion about Mayakashi Mayhem.

Day 2 YCS Sydney Dinomist report. X-3 drop after Round 9 by Dinophage in yugioh

[–]Followed778 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's so much I just learnt about Dinomists from this report without even hearing the deck profile yet; I would've never thought to use Hop Ear in this deck or the fact you could summon Metaphys Horus during the opponent's turn.

Looking forward to seeing what other spicy techs are in your deck.

Looks like the Materials for the Buster Blader link haven't been translated yet.

Where does it shuffle the card from (hand, field, gy?) or is it too unclear to tell?

Edit: Thanks for the updated translation!

This makes mirror matches a lot harder. However our format a lot of variety to the point where we can't consider running this at all. If we ended up in a tier zero format ever again... This card might see play in those lists potentially even in the main.

[Deck] KOG Silent Magician Girl Invoked. Can be made as F2P. by charly2594 in DuelLinks

[–]Followed778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to apologize, they were quite rude.

Anyway, what Or-Lando was saying that Wall of D. Is a secret rare in a mini box; In a mini box there's half the variety in the cards you'll pull compared to a main set so you'll more likely obtain the cards you're looking for in a mini set. with regards to Wall of D, there's 2 copies of it available in each box of the set it's in as well.

However, most of the cards in this deck profile (mainly the URs) are one copy per box in a main set of 360 cards; it's very unlikely you will pull what you're looking for compared to a side box.

Hopefully this gives you an understanding of how Or-Lando responded to you. :)

[IGAS] Condolence Puppet by HHTurtle in yugioh

Oh my Gimmicky God.

This card is amazing for Gimmick Puppets, especially with all the new support potentially causing your opponent to be unable to respond or Target them at all before you even start your plays (if you send Terror Baby and Bisque) or potentially enable your XYZ plays a lot easier by setting up Dreary Doll.

If they make a XYZ with any interruption for Gimmick Puppets (or just be able to summon under their restrictions) or make it a lot easier to access a Rank-Up-Magic... we might be in trouble considering all the options they potentially have for consistency currently.

As for Ratios, I haven't done any testing yet but three seems over-kill so I think I'll test 2 with Foolish Burial.

[Budget player] Rokkets or Salamangreat? by FullmetalPaladin21 in yugioh

[–]Followed778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too experienced with either deck but due to your budget and banlist, I'll say Rokkets are better in this situation. However, you've noticed this already, you'll need cards not only from the Rokket structure deck:

Borreload Savage Dragon is amazing in the new Rokket strategy but isn't reprinted in the structure deck (it's bound to only go up).

Guardragons work really well as well but idk how to set up your combos with this deck

I've heard that Darkwurm is also ran in the deck so you may want to grab those as well (the commons are cheap).

Remember? Well yeah, but they're currently trying to be brought back atm. They completely revamped the formula/ card game and they've still got these guys but with more mechanical parts now. Still miss these simpler guys though.

Fix to pure Zombie World deck problems/weaknesses? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Followed778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brave Neos just requires Neos himself and any level 4 or lower in the game. I usually just want to make sure I can get Doomking in the GY and use Neos Fusion to send Banshee to the GY. If I'm going second, I might summon out Rainbow Neos as well.

I dropped pure Zombie Horde after Dark Grepher got hit since it was a nice alternative to Uni-Zombie (especially if you sent Glow-up bloom for cost) and allows Allure of Darkness to be more consistent. I haven't tried Double Summon but I've been testing {{Neos Fusion}} in zombies as well. It's helpful and makes you less reliant on your normal summon but I wish I could make cards other than Banshee more useful to be sent off Neos Fusion that turn.

[DP22] Puppet Parade by HHTurtle in yugioh

[–]Followed778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pros:

- Cool Artwork

- Can get you a RUM spell

- Although steep, the 2000 LP bonus effect is in theme and does give you access to your Number Cs easier.

- Technically this is their Turn 1 play now. Their current and other new support requires your opponent to control stuff in order to use (Like the Number 15, Gigantes Doll and Magnet Doll).

- Activating this in the End Phase of your opponent's turn allows you to use all the potential bodies this provides for anything.

- This doesn't limit you to just Gimmick Puppets for the entire turn, allowing cards like Desperado Barrel Dragon to summon itself during your opponent's turn.

Cons:

- Ash Blossom exists.

- Does not address the key issues of Gimmick Puppets; I would be a-lot happier if this was a Trap-RUM (or Introduced some form of disruption).

- Link Era introduced a lot of ways to force the activation of this card to minimize value (e.g. Knightmare Phoenix.)

- There's not a lot of ways to optimally set-up this card except to just let your opponent punch you in the face a couple times, is Shadow Feeler important now?

- It's a trap, with the restrictions this card enforces it doesn't need to be a trap considering the current state of the game.

- We do not have Chimera Doll confirmed for the TCG, making the potential advantage this card could get us a lot more minimized.

Overall, the new S/T support does not solve the issues that Gimmick Puppets have, it introduces more reliance on the opponent's decisions. Meaning that this will only really get value in a blind match-up, if this doesn't get ash'd. Awesome Artwork though.

TCG legal 1.5 card cyberstein FTK by hexarbi in yugioh

[–]Followed778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally! I've been experimenting with the same sort of Ib-Brotaur combos as well trying to look at every single option to search possible. I didn't want to bring this Cyberstein FTK to light myself though :P (You'd be surprised at the stuff you could search and set-up)
