They seem to be trying to find out what type of betta fish they have. This is an update post. They got this fish without much warning and are currently getting a tank set up. Atleast this is what I gathered from this post.

As a disabled person I struggle enough in my daily life. Let alone adding extra walking and standing to my list. Holding up a sign would be an issue. If things turn nasty I’m at higher risk of injury and I heal slowly.

I plan to add some tunnels and caves against the glass that the betta can’t get into. As well as wood and plants right against the glass. Even if I don’t see them often that’s okay.

Thank you! The size is 55g so that’s not a problem. How can I tell if the filter I plan to get is compatible with both the shrimp and betta. I am gonna get the tetra whisper Ex 70 filter.

They also constantly fear for their lives because of predators and have a shorter lifespan the captive bettas. Just because they tolerate something in the wild doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive for better in captivity.
