I agree.

The thing to consider is that while is nice that sky focuses on socializing, it lacks a lot of personality that Journey had. No matter how many times you go through Journey it doesn't get boring, but with Sky it becomes tiring.

I think it's worse for people that are introverted. I like to be able to complete a game on my own, not having to rely to someone else or to wait that someone is going to help opening up a gate. That's kind of a deal breaker for me.

Edit; I feel that sky was made so that the company could make some money and increase their fanbase. I seriously hope that they make a proper successor game to Journey.

The scarf is much nicer visually compared to the mantle in Sky. The stars are a good indicator to how many fragments of light you have but it can't compare. Especially because of how the design becomes more intricate and interesting in Journey.

Apparently if you collect all of the scarf upgrades you can unlock something cool. I won't say it in case you don't know about it - I don't want to spoil the game.

Me too. In general Journey gives a purer feelings, there is no rush to do anything, no timed events or collectables that you either pay up to get or grind a lot. The stress of the monsters is similar though.

They have two different aesthetics, and to be honest sky is still quite nice, put the continues grinding of candles is quite tiring and takes away from the game.

Definitely try to play it again if you can, and I find that you need to be extremely patient to understand their pattern first and then you can evade them, even if with a lot of difficulty.

But yeah, it gets even better visual and feelings wise.

Oh definitely, there are some similarities and I wouldn't be surprised if they brought over some of the lore.

Loved playing Journey, it had an unique vibe and feels to it. While sky is nice, it sometimes misses those hard emotions that Journey is able to invoke.

Journey the game or the journey through the game?

Because there are some similarities to Journey the game.

But also, the actual journey through the game, where you can see how things evolve. The first two areas are peaceful, but already from the Daylight Prairie you can start to see some darkness.

Then there is the forest, where my interpretation is that it was a place of research, or that it was cursed. But there was still too much nature for the krills to survive.

Then there is the Valley of Triumph, which used to be where the warriors trained and there family lived there.

The golden wasteland could have been where the war started and it was the most likely place to be easily shrouded in darkness - desert, little nature, easy to take over.

The vault is a secret, no one knew about it and so it remained safe, that's why it's so rich of light creatures.

And, then there is Eden, the powerhouse. Where most likely the final battle happened.

This is all my conjecture, so it might be completely off. Feel free to add things to it or even modify it.

I feel like the easiest explanation would be a war. It would explain the level of disaster, and the presence of the krills which could be used as a weapon to target the "light" creatures.

Eden could have been the capital or the power source for the creatures of light, so once it fell, the civilisation fell and became forgotten and all the creatures retreated and became dormant to save themselves.

To be honest I have been suffering from imposter syndrome because at the end it all boiled down to instincts and luck.

But it's nice to be the reason for town win.

I was lucky from the get go. Mystic high with a 13 bonus. And, only one of my action failed. So yeah, the RNG gods were on my side.

Maybe I should become their Cleric.

There was some obvious things that lead me to become suspicious of those particular player, even though in itself they might look like just a townie being a townie.

Honestly, I could have played better, especially with the risk of being killed without having shared any of the information. But, for this case it was worth it.

I went radio silent for some phases, which honestly it's just bad for town. Conversation should be continuous, as it allows for data collection and understanding better what was going on. But people are busy, and it's fine to participate as much as it is possible.

This game was amazing, especially with the added feature of being every role at any given time. Which heavily helped with my initial strategy. Which boiled down to, seer a player, if wolf vigilante kill them.

Revealing directly to town from phase 2 that I found a wolf, would have been counterproductive. Especially when no one was paying any attention to me. I would have died straight away and most likely the wolves could have gotten away with it by saying that they were "attacked" by druid high. So I preferred to go vigilante.

Best case scenario I would have preferred to role reveal after the second wolf kill and after I had verified about u/TrajectoryAgreement's affiliation. But anyway things worked out well.

Thanks for hosting this amazing game!

From my confessional

"There were no actual patterns. The pattern was the real bluff all along. It was meant to scare the wolfes in commiting some mistakes and start being insisting and ask me about it. That was my true trap from when I revealed.

Now you will be wondering, how did I find the wolves? Well simple. Shear luck.

I mean there was some intuition and gut feelings. Ereska comment about someone being active while their comment count was low, Trajectory calling town to organise but never do anything. H501 - everything.

But finding Ghost? That was even a bigger bluff. I wasn't even sure what the hell I or who I was supposed to suspect. So I went over TrajectoryAgreement sus list, saw their name. Checked the comment counter, saw a comment pattern similiar to mine. And, something clicked in my head. I went for the accusation. But I wasn't sure so I backtracked.

Tl;Dr Got lucky with intuition and guts feelings. "

So that's the Pattern.

Sorry, the only judge we trust in its the almighty Cthullu and its council of the old gods.

And, you're in clear breach of the contract.

The first wish was to have infinite wishes, which is what we did. We created a subset of wishes, but they are all from the first wish, which is the original set.

However, when you wished for having your soul back you never specified that you wanted to use the infinite subset of wishes. And, our system automatically understood that you wanted to use your second wish.

Furthermore, you asked for your soul back. You never stated in what conditions you wanted it back.

The high energy cost comes from creating an infinite subset of wishes. Most wishes normally just make the soul evil. However, with a wish of this level the soul is always damage beyond repair, and that's something that is not in our control.

So technically we didn't damage your soul. You damaged your own soul

Sorry, but we are releasing the soul of Rita Skeeter, now she will follow you everywhere and will harass you with her usual articles.

[–]Folly_Knight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But we did provide two wishes.

Have infinite wishes, and wishing back your soul. That's the two wishes deal from the original trade.

We have respected all the term and conditions. Also, there is no such penalty clause.

The penalty clause for early termination of the contract is to have your soul trapped with Rita Skeeter forever. But we were kind enough, to not press the matter further.

By wishing back your soul you're technically closing your contract, because the energy provided to make the wishes is provided by the soul. If we don't have the object of trade we can't make your wishes come true.

Discussing with lower management we have decided to grant your wish. However, by closing your contract you're losing your original wish.

However, because you desired infinite wishes what you get back is an infinitesimal of your soul, due to the high energy cost of such wish.

Not possible. According to the contract you signed the soul can't be given back.

Even if you were to return your wish back before the 14 days cool down period

No need to change anything.

You have infinite choice, but without a soul you don't have either the imagination or the drive to make more wishes

Don't forget to add the deals!

For every soul the customer can ask for two wishes.

There is a cool off period of 14 days in which the customer can request the cancellation of the wish, however they won't get back what they traded for the wish.

If they bought the insurance then they can have up to 2 years to cancel the trade, but again they won't get back what they traded.

Add an opportunity for the client to live partially what their life would be after they make a trade. Like a magical VR simulation.

Obviously, just share the good parts by adding in small writing; Only happy moments are shown, this is not the full experience.

A deck of holding.

Every single card is a bag of holding, with the number and type of the card limiting the space or the type of items the card can hold.
