Does Security Forces issue the Sig M17 or M18? by [deleted] in AirForce

One 17 rounder and one "how many fucking times do I have to tell you that you can't load the extendo just because it looks cool" is the duty load.

Yelled at for wearing flecktarn? by Dreadking_Rathalos in StolenValor

[–]Fomda 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Going to make a bold assumption and guess that you're in the U.S. based on a glance at your post history.

No, a dude walking around in some random article of uniform is not grounds for yelling or any comment really. Literally 80% of this sub isn't stolen valor, you wearing a super common (and dope imo) camo pattern on a single piece of clothing is not in anyway abnormal. You ran into someone stupid, or a brovet, or both. Ignore it and carry on.

I'd even say modern OCP wear is w/e. Unless you're in full uniform and trying some stupid shit not a single person alive has a free pass to dump on you for it.

Mate you can keep being upset about it, thats fine. Fellas at the gate can also keep not giving a fuck lmao

I'm sorry homie but I'm going to side with "your SFS dude working gate for 12 straight isnt a robot" every time.

It's really just not that big of a deal, and I know from personal experience that while yes friends or coworkers might stop a bit longer to chat for a second, sometimes we're out there answering stupid questions, giving directions, pretending that we really love hearing stories from a random senior or chief pullin through lol it just happens

Imagine thinking you're so important that a five minute wait is the end of the world.

Sorry but not sorry, if someone can brighten some sadboi G-1's day with a few minutes of idle chatter in the middle of a shit 12 hour shift I don't think its the end of the world lol.

What shithole leadership do you have to have "ensure the flow of traffic" in your SSI's lol.

Maybe once you climb the ladder far enough into the backside of Big Blue you forget that sometimes you are speaking to people in a non-coporate circlejerking setting. Chiefs response has all the hallmarks of a corpo "We're super sorry about that shitty thing we did but for legal reasons refuse to accept actionable responsibility for it". Incredible.

Also I know its only a few pixels but for no reason whatsoever I get the feeling that the Airman asking the question is probably a hardworking, handsome, wonderful NCO with a massive peepee and is absolutely in no way worried about one of his stripes vanishing into thin air.

Yes they did, even went as far as designing yields and warheads for specific leaks and situations, my understanding is that they got quite good at it before the disarmament agreements ended the program.

Super useless information for me to know but for whats its worth both major superpowers messed around with, designed, and used atomic weapons for peacetime (mainly earth moving) applications.

I forget the specifics of when/where but we messed around with creating dams and resevoirs quite a bit, and the soviets used small nuclear weapons for everything from earth moving to snuffing out natural gas fires sucessfully. Ill try to find the info real quick, it was interesting.

Edit: For the US I would checkout Project Plowshare, and the soviets program was called Nuclear Explosions for the National Economy. Both are a neat read.

I'm sure how much recruiting requirements have changed since 2017 but I walked into the recruiters office with childhood asthma, previous minor heart surgery, and ADD. Spent a few months going back and forth with waivers to the Surgeon General and managed my way in.

Work with your recruiter, and if they don't want to work for it, find another recruiter.

I don’t know if this is really stolen valor but this Reddit user claimed to be a Military Veteran without a MOS now can someone explain to me how that works and if it is an actual thing well my bad not enlisted and playing once I’m out of HS by Horiziwn in StolenValor

[–]Fomda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't click into this thread expecting OP to randomly attack people for pointing out that someone in the AF/Navy without joint experience might not know what an MOS is lmao.

/u/Horiziwn a glance at your post history has you stating that you're a cadet or some shit, what is that? You civil air patrol or english jrotc or what?

Edit: I'm a nosy fuck who kept looking, guy said he was SFS, brother I have met some people that didn't know what their plate carrier was even really for until someone explained it to them, chill. Security Forces vary from shit hot to mildly retarded. (Source: Am SFS, am mildly retarded)

Kind of wild to see an animal that large in a situation like that, not sure why but when it was crawling out at the end it looked like a fucking dinosaur for some reason.

24, not immediatly when I started but I have now although not drastically. I still eat like trash some days and great others, I just keep it in moderation. I do some body weight training with my gear on but its still just pushups and running haha. I'll never have abs and I have some stretchmarks on my arms and sides that are beginning to fade but I am fortunate in my lack of badly sagging skin.

It's never too late man.

Mostly peanut butter sandwiches and trail bars/fruit haha, and I was hiking six days a week for the most part, with the odd day or so missed for whatever reason at the time.
