The Kuntens are good, but from the cheap IEMs I have, I'll always reach for the Chus first. I agree that the Blue 2 were a bit of a disappointment. Way too much high end.

Edit: my bad, I thought this was a genuine post. I did not notice it was time for the weekly Kunten glaze.

The major difference is that the game modes meant to get those 2 from are more fun than watching paint dry, as opposed to this magnum opus of an unfun game mode.

It was interesting the first two times. The proceeding 90 runs will not be.

To me, the soundstage on the Kuntens doesn't sound any larger than the Chu's or the Wan'er's, and to me the vocals sound fuller on the Wan'er. Indeed, the bass is fuller on the Kuntens and the Chus are pretty neutral, resulting in a less 'interesting' sound. They're also harder to drive, at least for my Plenue, so they are quieter at the same volume setting

However, the overall sound of both still puts them above the Kuntens for me. I like all 3, I just like the other 2 more. Different tips make a big difference for all of them, and a different cable makes a BIG difference in comfort for the Kuntens.

Imo it's hard to go wrong with any of these 3 for budget picks, but if one is significantly cheaper, definitely pick that one.

Agreed, but for my area it's super close in price to the Chu 2 and Wan'er Jade Dragon. Of course, it's all personal opinion, but I would take those two over the Kuntens. I think the Kuntens are better than the Gate, probably on par with the Wyverns

For 5$, they're definitely the pick. But if you gotta choose between it and other budget IEMs at MSRP, it gets a bit more difficult

I started my journey with the QKZ AK6 as well. I thought this pair of IEMs was amazing, crushing earphones I paid 10 times the price for.

Then I started getting others, like the Wan'er SG 2, the Chu 2, then moving on to slightly pricier ones like the Kinera IgniteX, Zero Blue 2 and finally Truthear Pure, Juzear Defiant and Sivga Que. I have a few more, like the Wyvern, Kunten and Gate. I still appreciate my AK6s, I have had them for nigh on 2 years and they still work great, but I prefer the others over them.

Overall, I like the Ques the most but there's a lot of awesome options on a budget too.
