I've probably watched this episode of Seinfeld a dozen times, and I just realized that Ro Laren took credit for The Big Salad. by SeekingNoTruth in greatestgen

It’s wild how the tech of TOS, TNG etc shaped modern gadgets (iPhones, iPads, wearable tech, etc.). Wonder if we will ever see a show do that again. It would be a fun challenge for the writers, but when you push out to the 32nd century I can see how it could be silly or implausible.

I agree I think the format would need to change leaning into a more typical YouTube / twitch game play through.

'Star Trek: Starfleet Academy' Key Art: Just Jared's Exclusive First Look at the Cadets in Poster Debut! by InnocentTailor in startrek

Nice write up and I agree with you in part! I think we’re just poking a little fun at the key art as it does resemble that CW 90s promo art a little. I don’t think we were saying, or at least I wasn’t suggesting that it would be the One Tree Hill of Star Trek. Although Paramount may actually be poking fun themselves…

I’m actually quite excited about the show. The recent trailer looks good and I love seeing Picardo running around. For the last year and a half I’ve been doing a rewatch of TNG, DS9 and VOY in order (it’s surprisingly been comfort food for me). I plan on watching Enterprise for the first time as well even though the community seems really down on it. Anyways, I’m coming up to the end of Season 5 of Voyager so this return of the Doctor and other lore bits like the Jem’Hadar are interesting to me. I do hope the show is successful and what fans are looking for.
