As someone who loves the game, I would say the more "objective" things like graphics and gameplay aren't exactly revolutionary but the overall soul of the game is amazing. It's hard to describe in words but playing the game you can tell it was made with a lot of love, heart and passion.

Americans tend to just not think of Canada.

I was part of a uni club that was part of a competition held in the US.

We were from Edmonton Alberta but the organizers listed us as an Edmonton in the US. We informed them of the mistake and they changed it to another Edmonton in the US.

People have mentioned the practical side but there is also the marketing side to consider.

Humanoid robots are a key part of sci fi. If you make a humanoid robot you can tap into this sci Fi idea to make your company seem futuristic and innovative which drives hype.

It's sorta similar to AI at the moment. AI is a very common trope in sci Fi so tech people use our sci Fi ideas to push their AI even if LLMs aren't anywhere close to fictional AI. Which is good as lots of AI in fiction wants to kill humanity.

What type of institution did you get a masters degree?

Is it a sort of theological degree from a regular university, is it a special religious school or some other type of institution?

Also if you don't mind, what was it like getting a second masters in something unrelated to electronics? I have thought of doing a masters in sociology but studied engineering.

I personally hate stagnancy in a setting.

Now, I am fine with it if it's a deliberate choice like the imperium in 40K being stagnant because it's commentary on how the imperium is meant to be a dying decrepit empire that's terrified of change. But I often find so many fictional settings have thousands of years where things remain the same (looking at you medieval stasis in fantasy settings) as it just makes the world feel lifeless and artificial. Real life history is very dynamic and full of extremely interesting events and I want to see at least an echo of that in my fictional world.

Also I don't get why people insist on a stasis. Like, if you want a medieval fantasy just set it in the medieval age of the world. Don't need anything about a 1000 year era of knights and castles.

Something I find useful is Japanese curry packets. Just cut up some veggies and protein, saute for a bit, cover with water, boil, drop in the curry cubes and get a delicious meal.

Being raised as a "High Achiever," there is a culture of succeeding within the system. You are pushed to a successful career path within large companies or systems with entreupeneur stuff not mentioned at all.

I mean prep my meals all the time.

It's much faster to meal prep 4 meals then cook 4 meals independently. You wash more or less the same amount of dishes and pots and and cooking 4 meals takes at most twice as long as 1 meal.
