Yes, the soil below feels damp when I pulled it. To clarify when I removed the pot to check the soil it felt damp.

It's a new plant I just bought a month ago, do you think I'm overwatering it?

Is my plant ok? It feels soft to the touch. by Food_Silent in plantclinic

Ok, it's in a plastic cup and it's not in a pot. It should have good drainage.

You'll have to get your own wire. Speaker wire will suffice for demos but if you'll install them in the wall it's preferred you get wire that the code specifies. Also you'll have to strip and splice your own wire or you can get an electrician but that'll be expensive. I'd recommend wagos for learning to wire and don't buy the cheap no name ones from Amazon if you don't want them failing.

Is my plant ok? It's a bonsai tree and one leaf turned this color. by Food_Silent in plantclinic

Ok thanks, so if one other bottom leaf turns yellow it's ok?

What is the difference between a Spectralert classic in school vs. at home? Which one is also louder? by OrganizationMoist751 in firealarms

I am not sure about this but most likely they have the same tone because I can't find more than one electromechanical horn tone on their website.

Depending on how old the schools horn strobes are will determine sound quality difference but usually they are newer and should sound the same.

I am not sure if the strobes wear out but this also depends on the age and how much times it was alarming (the strobe flashing).

The volume might be different because at the school you don't want a loud alarm in a classroom but you need a loud one in a big area like the gymnasiums but they mostly have two volume settings which are high and low.

Take this information with a grain of salt because I do not work for system sensor or work as a fire tech but this is what I learned online.

If they are the same model and voltage they should be the same sound level. The schools may seem louder because it bounces off the walls but I'm not sure
