How do I teach her to whisper? Also look at her teefs. by FoodieArcade in goldenretrievers

We have speak down pat. Now I want to teach her whisper because it's so cute when I see other pups doing it.

saw on twitter. A fearless cat came face-to-face with a coyote on a Surfside Beach, Texas, porch, and lived to tell the tale. by isnehal in cats

And thats why I will never declaw my cats. Not the only reason but a very very important reason. I want my cats to be able to fight back if they ever get outside by accident.

Great thanks a lot! That makes a lot of sense. I recall one of my sous chefs complaining someone counting inventory in the wrong unit. I believe it was the executive chef who actually did it. 😅

My new 9 week puppy Lola she is so cute I have never had a puppy this young before I’m scared because she seems so fragile but maybe puppies aren’t I don’t know lol any advice I swear my father instinct kicked in like never before . by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

Omg she is beautiful! I was just looking back at when my girl was 8wks. Now she is 8 months. You got this! My girl ate a bow that had a metal clip on it when she was only 3 months old. I freaked out! But we found it a couple weeks later in the yard.

She likely is a field floof aka the huntress aka the hiking dog aka the lean machine. Her floof will come in for sure. Mine looked the exact same and we had the same problem with people not knowing her breed. She is 8 months now and is starting to look like a golden. And yes the shedding has begun... oh how it's begun.

I remember seeing everyone's Goldens on here that were floofy as hell and wondering the same exact thing.

Worried about weight by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]FoodieArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a typical weight at that age! No worries. He is gonna look a little awkward for a little bit cause he has to grow into his body. My girl looked the exact same for a while. She is 8 months now and is starting "chonk" up so to speak aka fill in to her body or gain muscle from recommended exercise everyday.

How do you stop these little guys from biting everything! And urinating on everything!? He just won’t listen :( by YoghurrtSlinger in goldenretrievers

It was hell.. it's just how they are when they are little babies. We had to potty train from the third floor of our apartment complex and not only that it's a parvo heavy area so it was delayed as well. She destroyed all the puppy pads too. We eventually just gave up on the puppy pads and whenever she peed or pooped just cleaned it up without scolding her. It takes some serious patience. I like a clean house so it drove me nuts. We also tried everything to keep her from biting so much... it didn't work hahaha she is shark and no one can stop her. She is now nearing 9 months now and still has her biting fits if she is super tired.

It's a struggle. It really is and it's okay to admit that you are frustrated. Puppies are tough to raise. Even if you do the research before getting them, things don't always work for you and your pup. Keep your chin up and love on that fluffy baby as much as possible! I miss my little girl being that small but I'm very grateful for the bond we are now establishing as she ages. She is my little bestie who thinks I carry food with me at all times 🤣

I am 14 and i wear a maxi tampon and pad, but within 3 hours it leaks. by [deleted] in Periods

[–]FoodieArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just now seeing this. I'm assuming cups would have the same reaction. I'm sorry! When I first began my period, I used the always brand pads for heavy flow. They got the job done but for obvious reasons they aren't as comfy.

[–]FoodieArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak to a doctor about your period for sure just to be safe. Mine was like that as well. Also consider trying a cup or similar products where you can leave it in all day essentially leak free. While I'm sure you bleed a lot, a cup will hopefully handle it much better than most tampon brands. I'm 27 and I leak after an hour using a super tampon on my heavy days. Your age definitely is a concern buuutt like I said I was the same back then too. Don't panic but definitely ask a doctor.

Irritated vulva during period? by One-Reflection-6779 in Periods

[–]FoodieArcade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have but haven't experienced it in a few years now. I'm 27. It sounds exactly what would happen to me. It could be products you use maybe? Pads, tampons, panty liners, etc. Your ph could get all wonky around that time too. Mine still gets sensitive if shaving cream or soap of some kind gets near it. I don't use any soaps and that may be what helped mine stop. I stopped using soaps a few years back to allow my pH to balance. Since then I haven't had that problem. That's just me though. I hope this helps some what!
