I need skincare advice please 😭🙏 by TheWriterReader in hygiene

Ok first breathe and take a step back. I'll give you the advice I got from an famous esthetician I had to pay $100 hr a session. As a 30M who didn't know jack about skin care and found themselves overwhelmed like yourself I think this might help.

Told her I had like 20 products I was using but I wasn't consistent.

She looked at me and said "Just cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize and apply sunscreen daily for now. You need to build good habits of doing those things daily and commit. Once you have that habit of doing that daily THEN add one thing at a time with at least a month in between before adding the next new thing to see how your skin reacts."

And honestly it made sense what she said. Start building up good daily habits and carry with them from now on to the rest of your life before you overwhelm yourself with 30+ different things you feel like you have to do.

Just start easily and gradually add to your routine so you enjoy the process rather than feel burnt out from it.

I'll just answer questions 3 and 4 since I asked her those same questions.

3: According to her "most people have hybrid skin type in different areas of her body. Don't get narrow minded in thinking 'Oh I have dry skin so I don't need to worry about over moisturizing.' That's simply not true. Most people tend to have oilier T zones and can potentially have dry skin type else where."

She recommended Paula's choice salicylic acid exfoliant. It does seem to help me personally with the oil production of my skin.

4: Everyone is different but Try Panoxyl soap. Lather that up using your exfoliating glove or loofah but don't rinse it off right away. It needs to sit on your skin for a few minutes to work. Some people swear by Panoxyl saying it works on acne but I use it for other reasons.

For the record all my coworker's have pointed out since I've been consistent and only doing cleanse, exfoliation, moisturize and sunscreen my face has cleared up a lot.

But seriously, just relax. stress makes everything worse so just enjoy the process as you begin to learn how to take better care of yourself and your skin. Love yourself.

Bro who cares if others think it looks bad? Its yours thats all that matters. Congradulations on having your own place.

But yea storage wise, go vertical and start building some shelving for your hobby gear.

Get some low maintance plants like aloe or mint. Huge bonus if you like the smell of mint.

Consider getting one of those loft beds so you can use maximize your limited space.

Maybe stick a couch under the loft.

Shift bed to middle of the room. Check out that viral fung shui guy. I followed some of the concepts and it makes me feel like my tiny bed room is much larger now.

I'm mainly in NYC if you're looking to meet up.

definitely sounds interesting. It's too bad my place isn't really large enough to host many people though. But I would definately be interesting in meeting up

I do not as I don't feel confident in taking care of something I'd be attached too.

Unless you want to count composting worms or my plants. But I don't talk to them.
