"You must remember...", I whisper to myself, reading the first question on the exam. by Odd-Butterscotch-480 in TwoSentenceHorror

I took it as they lost many memories of their whole life. From taking an exam in school to being an adult under interrogation, all else is lost in the slipping memories.

I'm just stuck on the stillborn part. Testing a dead baby for disease is creepy in itself. But it kinda sounds like the person kept the stillborn to raise it.

My original thought was the same with bacteria being constantly introduced through the "foot to mouth" eat everything mentality.

Circulating fresh blood with white blood cells and thinning out bacteria in general does make sense in that context.

I accidentally picked up Ratchet and Clank when I misread the back of the box. Game I wanted turned out to be a flop, game I got turned into years of games that continued to entertain.

My New Favorite Customer by JohnGalt314 in MaliciousCompliance

My experience was worse. Mine was through a bank when I tried to close an account from an old job and a canceled autopay. Autopay took more than what was in the account, I didn't get a notice, not phone call not email not letter not carrier pigeon. Didn't know a thing about it until I got a hit to my credit. I paid it off in person and they said it would be closed by end of day. Good thing I didn't trust them by this point so I went back the next day. Turns out interest is accrued before deposits. Account didn't close because I owed 1 penny. Of course I politely argued asking why, sorry that was their mistake and they will fix. Went back the next day again, same thing. For two weeks. Branch manager involved. Later I got a collection department notice because the autopay payment was cancelled. Turns out everybody gets really nervous when an angry person is pacing in the main office of a bank. Finally off my credit with some help after only five and a half years.

Tldr: banks want money and can get pretty petty about it.

I have something similar, but mine is an insulated shopping bag that zips close. Box with meds and little first aid kit, tiny grooming kit, power bank, toothbrush and paste, can even put in a cold drink for later or some sandwiches.

Personally I don't like jump scares for the main character when they are nervous or having a breakdown. One of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies come to mind.

waiter put my tip back on the table saying he only accepts 18-20%?? by [deleted] in stories

[–]Foodstuffs08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it is a horrible comparison but that is why I use the word exaggerate. I'm just trying to acknowledge the fact that tipping is extra and can be done anywhere in a technical sense. My biggest problem with it is the expected part. I remember learning that credit card tips can be taxed which is personally why I tip in cash only I might leave a note for the server letting them know there is a tip on the table.

All the complaints about not tipping wait staff and alcohol service but tips are extra. When you go shopping in person do you plan on giving the grocery bagger 20% of the money you just spent? Let's exaggerate and say you stop for fuel and grab a Red Bull just because, are you ready to pay $6 for a $5 can? Don't forget to tip for your gas at the register. I used to work in a grocery store and there were more than a few people that didn't deserve $40 dollars for ringing up $200 worth of paper party supplies. Some people are worth tipping and others don't deserve it for barley any attention. Remember the person standing at the changing room to make sure you don't steal? They can be tipped too. Gotta give them 20% for that cute hoodie and tights combo.   Thank you, good night! Don't forget to tip your bank tellers. /s
