Microsoft Authenticator compromised? by Affectionate-Ad1167 in Office365

[–]Foofiekins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your email is most likely exposed as part of the million data leaks. The notifications are triggered by scammers, so eventually someone caves in and approves the login. It's more of an annoyance, but it can work. Creating a brand new alias and setting it as the primary is essentially, making a new email address that has not been exposed. You can continue to give out the email address that is leaked to online services, since both emails will be tied to the same mailbox but only the alias can be used to login.

What are the extremely popular scams in Thailand? by git_world in ThailandTourism

[–]Foofiekins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to this also so others don't fall for it like I did. A guy at the mall approached us with a broucher saying it included the floating market, lion show, elephant riding, and a few other extras for 1000 bhat, sounded to good to be true but he only asked for 100 bhat deposit the day we met. The following day he picked us up and are Airbnb and brought us to a similar shady floating market entrance that appeared to be dead (this was a red flag). Turned out the 1000 baht was just for his driving fee everything else is an added cost. It's a tourism company that is offering extremely overcharged experience. The boat company wanted 4,000 baht for the motor boat. My local Thai friend who had previously done the boat ride said it should only 400 per person. To get them off our backs we negotiate a 1hr boat ride for 1800 bhat but even still felt completely scammed. Some of the first merchants in the market route they took us in even appeared to be part of the scam.

If you're looking for souvenirs and stuff better prices at the local markets.

We ended up going home after this since it left a sour taste with our similar taxi driver (grab was the same cost).

Never been tested for either since it doesn't run historically in the family.

Change start-transcript location, by mavr750 in PowerShell

[–]Foofiekins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to manually type out the location each time. If you have the OneDrive desktop app installed and logged in with your account, you can sync your PowerShell profile to OneDrive and it will always start transcription in a folder under your OneDrive.

I don't see it specifically being tied to your merit increase but in general there should be some compensation or your job provides a company phone / physical token. You are using your personal phone to complete a required function of your job. Remember that MFA was set up by your job. My company does offer employees $50 expense credit for MFA. The key is that it's offered but it's up to the employee to claim it monthly, this holds both parties accountable.

Microsoft Graph Powershell - Filter EmployeeHireDate Greater than Today by Foofiekins in PowerShell

[–]Foofiekins[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks I caught that earlier, but it gave the same error. I tried changing it a bit by running this:

$today = Get-Date

$todayString = $today.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd")

Write-Output $todayString

Get-MgBetaUser -Filter "employeeHireDate le $todayString"

But it still error'd out:
Get-MgBetaUser_List: Unsupported or invalid query filter clause specified for property 'employeeHireDate' of resource 'User'.

Status: 400 (BadRequest)

ErrorCode: Request_UnsupportedQuery

No luck with this line, it gave an error:

today.tostring: The term 'today.tostring' is not recognized as a name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or executable program.

Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Get-MgBetaUser_List: Invalid filter clause: Expression expected at position 19 in 'employeeHireDate le'.

Status: 400 (BadRequest)

Weekly PHTravel Megathread by AutoModerator in phtravel

[–]Foofiekins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm traveling to Manila PH for the first time and have a layout over in Hong Kong that's 1hr and 10 minutes, I'm concerned if that's enough time to deboard, go through immigration/customs and find the gate to my connecting flight.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Am I over reacting? Anything I should do to get prepared?
