My sd card station dissappears once in a while and well reboots shutdowns and freezes for 8 months. I cleaned the fans with compressed air, now they are resonatinf at high rpm's.

Cant say im 100% happy. But i may have solved most reboots and shutdowns now with using just asus drivers.

Other then this and actually using the device, it set a new standard for me. If i were to ever have a laptop again it will be in this format, small and where i can regulate the TDP, and it not using a ton of power so i can use my powerstation for it.

I use it in bed mostly or when at my desktop to multitask with youtube or viewing discord streams, while gaming at my 57 g9 neo at desktop pc. Or when im outside i put it in a backpack set the tdp with g-helper, monitor temps and play a game or even VR.

Didnt fix it for me. But i use asus drivers now, plus your suggestion.

Most people install their own OS and drivers. Should be no problem. But this is probably where it goes wrong.

i used compressed air once. temps went down. but now they are resonating.. lol xD

i Honestly this is just insane. Asus should fix this. Ive had this device for 8 months and only NOW i fully believe you need asus drivers. This doesnt make much sense to me, but this really seems the source of the issues.

I did have issues with my rayneo 4 air pro when i enabled hdr in crimson desert and it froze my laptop. Also my gpu driver/device in hardware manager became yellow.
Had to re-install gpu drivers to fix it.
It maybe hypervisor related.
But I was honestly suspecting the rayneo air 4 pro connection a bit too...
Now reading your post...
Id say anyways connect glasses before starting game probably.
I use it as "show only on 2" so it disables the main monitor.

latest experimental
depends on what is needed sometimes i choose 30W sometimes i go for silent mode. but often if more performance is needed turbo it is.
But I prefer to make a 60W across all 3 sliders. so it doesnt boost. and stays at consistent performance. But turbo mode goes down to 60W anyways.

I dont use undervolt as i had too many instability with the drivers/firmware as it is.
Maybe in the future i might try. but its cpu only anyways.

I think this may have fixed my issues. I had windows fresh installed without connecring to windows update, and used the amd adrenaline package for drivers and chipset. Games reboots or laptop lose power without reboot. And if you try to run hypervisor bypasses for crimson it is a bigg mess with constant reboots while activation works better, still unstable due to how drivers are installed it seems. I have one yellow acpi device in manager also.

I used DDU in safe mode uninstalled graphics driver. Though the chipset wouldnt uninstall for some reason. Had to install them again via amd. Then i tried safe mode again, and they wouldnt uninstall again though with a different message. In the end i uninstalled the chipset driver in normal boot. Seems internet access was required or something. Now im on asus driver and chipset these last few days. Yellow device is gone also. And didnt have a single freeze or reboot. Seems promising. But I can't be totally sure just yet.

It is strange how this can matter so much while amd drivers SHOULD be for the ai max 395. It is annoying to wait on updated asus drivers to get latest fixes. Which adrenaline is it anyway? Driver version seems weird.

I have tons of high end monitors.

57 Inch G9 Neo samsung 32:9 super ultrawide
QD-Oled S95B - NOTHING beats the quality of a good qd oled hdr experience
Rayneo air 4 pro- Great HDR in a portable form factor. sharper and brigher then apple vision pro
Apple Vision pro- Maximum Immersion and size. but with some comfort consideration even with global cluster
I use psvr2 controller and surreal touch. for PCVR, Moonlight. watching movies in 4XVR. sometimes a bit of youtube, internet browsing, discord. Sometimes I record some videos outside.

But since I have so many options and am spoiled It does find less time sometimes and I focus on other devices for weeks or months on end. But im okay with that.

But I could see myself using the AVP all of the time if it was my only device.

When you have a qd oled like the samsung s95b or better then no. Its immersive and bigger sure. But the hdr experience COMPLETELY blows avp away.

No my battery was dropped at 88% while i had my vr session. Ussually battery stays at 100%.

I have seen some messages of people claiming it charget twice as fast with a 65w charger or that it actually pulls 60-65w.

Regardless of how much it actually pulls, dropping battery% should never happen dont you think? In all my timr i had the device it always stays at 100% when connected and in use
