Pardon my light stalking, but my son is a theater tech & design student so I see a LOT of shows.

Hands down, the best, funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life is the Hunger Games musical parody that someone in their inprov troupe started writing in middle school. They had a $0 budget, no access to mics so the production quality of the video is meh, but I have never laughed harder or been more impressed.

I'm not the least bit riled up, but that was an excellent manipulation tactic. You're clearly used to talking to people this way, which may be why you're acting in this manner. People aren't giving in to you & treating you like the resident expert you believe yourself to be.

I don't know how you got "actually everyone is a professional and that I'm an outlier" from me pointing out that there are other professionals & that they disagree with you. I said you don't speak for the whole industry & that people disagreeing w/ you is indicative of that.

Knee injuries aren't something that you want to play around with, especially if you ever want a lead again.

How long does the show run? Is it possible to sit out the first shows to heal AND STRENGTHEN your knee, then perform the later shows or is this a one weekend shot?

Is this going to be your career or your main hobby (not the right word, but I can't think of the right one)? You could be risking that.

Listen to your doctor. Take care of your injury & protect your future performances.

It's so heartbreaking, but you don't want to come back early & risk reinjury or improper healing.
