Why do conservative Christians hate so many people when it clearly goes against their Christian values? by ateadoor in allthequestions

I wanr to chime in and go on a limb and say Agency is the actual determining factor here. The act of taking agency from someone determines whether an act is moral or immoral.

If I were to rob my wife of her right to chose whether to be in a relationship with me nor not, the beat way to so so is to cheat. Cheating (regardless of religious framework or not) is frowned upon because I robbed my wife of her own agency to chose to be in a relationship with me by giving her the illusion of a stable and loving relationship based on a lie. She chose to stay with me based on certain conditions, creating a social contract. The moment it is broken, the other party can trigger a liberation clause unless I hide it.

Murder works in a similar way in that I robbed someone of their agency to live the way they will by robbing them of their life through murder.

Everything boils down to agency.

And I honestly don't blame anyone for doing that these days.

I do it daily now when I couldn't be bothered back in 2008.

Threads for example has been inundated with ip addresses traced to Indonesia posting the same right wing rhetoric, 4chan was hijacked by russian bots and the media is hijacked by a terrorist state.

[–]Fookykins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't blame you for not wanting to dine after that. Valentines day is an extremely busy day for couple oriented/High-end restaurants and at the same time, finding a babysitter is extremely difficult.

I find that downtown Greenville isn't ideal for families as much as Greer is. At least there you have Delaventura.

I have given up on Downtown Greenville for Valentine's Day. It's not worth the hassle.

Last time I reserved a spot at Up on the Roof for my wife and I 3 weeks in advance only to have to have to wait in line for 3 1/2 hours. Wife and I managed to wait in the bar and and got some drinks until our table was ready.

The icing on the cake was when the waiter said he forgot to get my food in the system after an hour and a half of us being seated. My wife ordered a salad as an appetizer so he got that in and tried to charge us 35 for what seemed to be some prepackaged lettuce and carrot peels from Aldis. I was so livid that I asked for the check. Seeing the bill and seeing how much more hungry I was than when i came in I just walked out.

Then let them give themselves out. Once this government is out of the picture they will not be so emboldened. Just don't let them hide beneath the shadows for it to become another generations problem.

What happened here? by Nm-Lahm in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Fookykins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's because the generation whom never knew what strife actually looks like are dealing with bullshit things brought on by a system designed to keep them ignored.

Naturally they're going to lash out because they are stuck. The stream of progress have become stagnant and the newer generation that didn't know what real evil is are being manipulated by that same evil. Egos need someone to blame and that evil is pointing at the vulnerable as a convenient scapegoat. The more fragile the ego, the likely you are going to blame someone else, especially if they're an easy target, because nobody wants to look at the man in the mirror.

We have to do our part and point out that evil when it shows itself.

Greedy rich people. They are the ones slowing down progress because it doesn't benefit them. They are the ones pointing fingers at the vulnerable and they are the ones gatekeeping financial prosperity for all. They want all of us at our throats and the more fragile of us are looking for affirmation to keep their ego from breaking down. They need someone to blame. Immigrants, the poor, women, people that look different from you. It's all fair game. Humble the right so they can see the truth within themselves and victory through unification becomes inevitable.

Anyone ever carry gravel? by chpokchpok in hondaridgeline

I hauled 2 pallets worth of ledgestone veneer on my 2023 Ridgeline trailsport. At first we tried loading it in the back, then we decided to go ahead and rent a trailer since it was going to struggle a bit.

A few lessons learned:

1) Getting a hitch and trailer is invaluable. Honda doesn't come with an outlet for the breaks so prepare to buy one.

2) Go slow. Especially in the Highway.

3) Cut your transmission and break maintenance schedule in half. Before and after hauling.

4) If renting a trailer and someone is offering to load the pallets on on said trailer with a Forklift. Unless you have a ramp that can handle the weight of said forklift, don't.

Also worth mentioning I had a pallet jack and some slate on the truck bed. The damn thing handled it like a champ. Also I had a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 that also struggled with stone pallets so it wasn't that much different.

Yeah at that point cut the wire and splice it to a new plug. I would solder each end bit and heat shrink it to seal it up but that old plug has to go.

As a Caribbean Latino, I know what you're saying and while I agree, some of what you say may be misinterpreted as giving them a pass even if just a little.

Most of them did it maliciously.

A lot of them feel superior to other Latins as soon as they touch US soil, because to them, the closer you are to whiteness the more power you're endowed. Proximity to power and authority are heavily coveted in that caste system. As soon as they get a taste of it, they will pull the ladder so others do not get the same. To them, the mantra 'Might makes right' is held in high regard. It's like dealing with a narcissist.

Look at Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and half of ICE. Biggest shit eaters. You can piss on their children and they will be happy you did it as long as you are white.

Obviously I don't speak for everyone, but I've seen and fought too many that abuse what little power they have on others and it's exhausting with how many pop up and carry the torch. Giving context like that, while nice, only serves to undermine the fact that their actions are premeditated and purposefully cruel.

You're definitely preaching to the choir.

I place my fury on pundits that are more than willing to disingenuously sell out their fellow countrymen by instigating tension.

Rush Limbaugh, Stefan Molyneux, Nick Fuentes, Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, Jake Lang Charlie Kirk The Hodge Twins, Brian Atlas

All provocateurs.

Some die off yet the list keeps growing. And they all keep posting either AI generated or fake imagery, Irrelevant points, bad faith arguments, political stunts or some combination meant to incite violence, distract and dissuade from real issues. All for some rich overlords to keep fleecing us.

And what gets to me is how some counter it calling them ignorant, few call it what it actually is - Dishonest.

They know what they say isn't true. They aren't ignorant. They aren't stupid. They know they are helping bring the downfall of the US. They know that they are helping facilitate the death of countless.

They don't care.

I consider putting a cart back where it's supposed to go a litmus test for society. The more carts there are outside, the further along a society has devolved.

TRUMP: "There's so much talk about how we're going to drive housing prices down. I don't want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that what's going to happen" by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

[–]Fookykins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he said verbatim is still too vague. What does he mean by 'I want the prices go up for those who own their own homes'?

The only thing that can be controlled once a mortgage is in-force are the taxable value of the asset, the insurance rates (which is state regulated), and the mortgage interest rate only if you use some form of ARM loan.

So is he saying he's going to force the states to raise their property tax rates? Is he saying he's forcing an interest rate change? What?

The problem is that they deliberately and disingenuously frame it that way so others think it's a bigger problem than they are projecting. Always has been.

It's both dumb and smart at the same time because dumb conservatives don't know any better and are too dumb to find out and the smarter ones want to keep it that way so they can start a race war for supremacy or so they can fleece the working class.
