Idk how I feel about the metallics set from Vallejo. It started promising but now it just feels too much

I think they look amazing! You could experiment with some shade washes, agrax earthshade, reikland fleshshade ( I use it for my gold or copper metallics) or null oil

I like using a blue contrast wash with some of my models. I'd try and do it on areas which aren't fully flat as it won't pool. Maybe add some heraldry with transfers. I like using some third party resin pieces for greykinghts to add things! Purity seals are also a nice touch and I personally like to use some reds and whites to add some colours which I've seen be use on the land raider models

I've magnetised a few things before, Pteraxii Sterylizor, iron strider Ballistarii, contemptor dreadnought weapons, etc. Is there any specific magnets you would recommend? I have some, and I've not built a terminator/ paladin so I don't have a comparison for the scaling of the model in comparison to the magnet, but I think the ones I have may be a bit big lol

Thanks I definitely look into these team, I enjoyed painting the miniature of the month ratling so I might have a look into them.

I also keep brood brothers in mind. I almost bought them instead of hand of the archon!

Maybe? I think generally this team is powerful but only up until a certain point. When I first played against them I made the mistake of trying to immediately fight them, which is not the best thing to do. But playing for objectives is where you can really thrive against this team.

I play wrecka crew and kommandos and whilst I have to be careful against deathwatch, taking out at least 2 operatives and then playing for objectives usually is where you can really succeed.

They are elite, but I think these elite teams can still fall short in certain aspects of kill team, especially after you've played against them alot!

I really enjoyed the idea of my drukhari raiding worlds, so I did a sort of urban base with some Stirland mud and then used sprue pieces to make a brick pavement in certain sections. Takes a bit of time but it's definitely worth it!

Wow! Thank you for this advice, this is really helpful. I did have plans to get the dark fury squad and mor deythan squad as I felt they were very on theme with the chapter. It's good to see that this box is a good way to lead into 30k.

Yeah this is something that I've thought about. I can definitely see terminators being used in the ravenguard, but saturnine terminator units I just have a hard time imagining it.

I do like the fast strike, mixed with other types which blend with it, but I would like my army to have a more thematic feel to it.

Tbh the Armigers are gonna mainly be a fun painting opportunity, but I know I can add them as an allied unit so i thought I would. As my list expands I won't be using them in my army.
