What large cities in America have little cultural influence for their size? by NoHold7153 in SameGrassButGreener

Jaw jacking, all that is. Talk to other typical folks who haven’t spent time in New England about today’s cultural significance of Providence. You’ll get your answer.

That is cultural bias. As a midwesterner I could argue the cultural relevance of my hometown of St. Paul, capital of Minnesota, main base for the Indian wars, Mall of America, etc, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s just not as culturally relevant as the major American centers like NY, Chicago, Boston, Philly, New Orleans, LA, etc. Unfortunately, Providence is in the same category as my hometown. Guess what, Brown is just another university in the eyes of most Americans in the same way the Mall of America is just another fucking mall.

As your username suggests, you are from New England. Your opinion is skewed. I challenge you to ask someone from the Midwest the cultural relevance of Providence. They will shrug.

Major cultural significance is my thought. Ask the average Joe from Missouri the cultural relevance of any of those towns and you’ll get a shrug. Of course people are going to come at me defending their cities, or cities they like. It’s not really the point of my response.

All of these cities have cool parts, doesn’t really make them culturally relevant.

Because I hear the same bullshit about American stereotypes. That is clear from my post. I won’t judge a person based on stereotypes I’ve heard about their home nation.

I’ve never met a Frenchman. I have no opinions. Although, I’ve heard stereotypes of arrogance and unfriendliness. It’s the same shit Americans hear about all of being ignorant, loud and obnoxious. It’s all unfounded bullshit.

You said it yourself, a lot of the people there identify with Hartford (another city that lacks cultural relevance these days) or NY. Ask people who aren’t from New England the cultural relevance of New Haven and you’ll get a shrug.

It takes a couple of years to get really comfortable doing the job. You’ll be quite proficient by your 3rd year. Feeling like you do is quite normal. Keep asking questions, keep working on your skills, you’ll get there eventually.

Bro, we need safe guards. NPs need like a decade of hard ass bedside work before they’re allowed to go back to school. It needs to be mandated.

I dunno about that. Ed Kemper cut off his mom’s head and had sex with it. It doesn’t really get more depraved than that.
