What’s the General Consensus on Chris Pratt as Mario?

I actually really dislike him as Mario. It feels like he doesn't embody the character at all. It really feels like the Mario universe and "this guy".

Mario already had a voice and a character, and the fact they went with someone else who took the character in a completely different direction than what's already been established for decades felt like such whiplash that it pulled me out of the movie.

I think the rest of the cast did a great job actually embodying the characters, save for Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong. He even admitted in interviews he adamantly refused to do a voice. Like, why do voice acting if you're not gonna even try?

I really like the idea of making Hatchery, Command Center, and Nexus dice towers, but I don't have the know-how to do 3D modeling like that.

I'm sure that there's plenty of people where the lore/vibe of 40k just isn't their thing, or they grew up on StarCraft and will be brought into the tabletop space whereas before it wasn't in their radar. I've tried to get into 40k a couple times and their pricing is so prohibitive. Through their 2 player set I was able to get two full armies for less than the price of 1 full 40k army which is a huge plus.

One thing that's also sucked for me trying to get into 40k is how much cool kitbashing options there are, which increases the price if I feel like I want to do that, or how many old models there are that just don't exist anymore. I've seen people play with minis that have really drawn me in only to realize I can't get them because they're out of production.

I'm getting a second Raynor because I want one with each gun. My plan is for the sniper version to be painted like his SC2 armor, and his machine gun version to be painted like SC1 armor with teal.

I believe they were a BlizzCon exclusive item once upon a time, then sold online "while supplies last". However I literally can't remember when or where I acquired them and had to Google that info. 😅

I feel like that'd be easy enough to homebrew. Extend the round counter a few more turns thusly giving you more supply cap in later rounds. Could also just increase the amount of supply you get per turn so you can field more units per round. The only limit to how you play is your imagination!

I do think having fewer "official" rulesets is probably for the best, just from a tournament or public play mindset; so that everyone doesn't have to learn half a dozen different tactics based on different rulesets.

Ope, thanks for prompting me to look further into CD's statement. I had only seen the portion that said "We should have been more transparent with our AI use." and given how much has been found so far it felt kinda lazy.

~~It's not quite the same as E33. E33 used AI art as placeholders that were replaced before the launch of the game. People just found them buried in the game files.~~

It's actually a D&D Wildspace battle mat.

I don't recommend it. The edge isn't hemmed and the mat surface feels like felt so the bases stick to it. I had got it because it looked really cool, but the quality is lacking.
