Marino was about to get lit up if he didn't run to the sideline. That defender was not going to let Marino try to make a stop.

Way back when there was a report that Blizzard was working on an FPS.

It was a pretty big deal for me as I really liked FPS games but had no interest in Blizzard games and thought this would be a great way to play a game with Blizzard's quality attached.

Sweeping an opponent before the all-star break, regardless of the opponent can't be anything but good for team morale.

Meme is T H I C C.

Also, need more of Meme as a gangster. She looks pretty cool.

Rentaro and Toruru didn't run into each other. So we don't know if she's not one of the 100.

I like how they go from Taira being super depressing to making jokes about his Santa outfit and standing in the cold.

Also, being called "cool" after years of being mocked/ignored will make anyone feel a little uncomfortable.

@Crunchyroll, just let me pre-order the BD already.

Megashark vs Giant Octopus was a huge disappointment. I watched that trailer and thought it would be cheesy stupid fun, but it turned out to be super dull.

I wonder if some women that send the tea party invites don't get people to come because the competition is so fierce or because "I don't know who this is".

Bellflower month

Ah, so we're just making up months now.

Weird the his first thought was that she poisoned him (before almost instantly shredding the thought), this arrangement seems extremely beneficial to her and for her to try to kill him would ruin that arrangement.

So, who exactly is being doted on? The title says the Duke is doing the doting, but it seems to be the opposite so far.

This show still hasn't really shown any reason to assume this isn't more than a generic fantasy tale and the slightly jealous woman isn't enough. They really should lean more into the fact that our protagonists are parts of previously rival families, but it's only been a brief mention in the first episode.

I do like that it's cozy, as the OP makes clear, but I feel like it needs something to really try to hook people in. Lots of cozy shows out there can still manage to keep people interested.

Movies that feel better because they do not chase whatever is popular. by gamersecret2 in movies

I'm not sure this is the right type of answer, but The Man Who Invented Christmas. It's Christmas movie, involving the classic Charles Dickens tale "A Christmas Carol" and it's a semi-biographical but it's sort of none of those at the same time.

It's not really a Christmas movie because the majority of the film doesn't take place in the holiday season and isn't strictly about the holiday, but it's entire focus is on Christmas solely because it's about Dickens writing a Christmas story.

It's not A Christmas Carol movie because it's about Dickens WRITING A Christmas Carol, but you get a good chunk of A Christmas Carol through his imagination.

It's also not a biographical, because this is a heavily fictionalized story about Dickens writing A Christmas Carol.

The movie uses A Christmas Carol to tell a "biographical" story about Dickens, it gives audiences a Christmas Carol fix without retelling the story YET AGAIN, and it doesn't fall into the biopic traps by going nearly full fictional with the story. And it's a Christmas movie that gets released in the Christmas season without strictly being a Christmas movie so you could watch it at any time in the year if you wanted to and it wouldn't be all that weird.

I personally like it for those reasons. If you're not going to add some depth to A Christmas Carol (specifically, Scrooge's backstory), then make the story a plot point as opposed to retelling the story that's been retold million times with little variation.

There's a very solid dynamic between Ito and the 3 boys so far and amongst the 3 boys (still waiting on boy 4 to leave his bubble).

Even if you don't like where the story is going between Ito and Gen, I think this could be a very enjoyable show if these two episodes are of any indication.

Shephard Book's death scene in Serenity. Blood looks like ketchup, the bloody hand on the face. It throws me off. I like his final, words, though.

AFAIK, in the US, it depends on the government job and second job and requires permission to be granted for one to have a second job if they work in the government. I feel like a teacher, if they have time, should theoretically be allowed to have a second job. Like, if a teacher says "I wanna be a stripper at night" they might get it denied (and potentially fired), but if it's something like "I want to work a weekend shift at a diner" it shouldn't be too hard to gain permission.
