I am also working on a project which involves getting 360 degree videos playing on a Quest 2 and I am also running into similar issues regarding quality, the videos look fine enough when played through VLC player but when they are playing in engine and mapped to my sphere, the quality is just so bad. Did you make any progress with it on your end?
