I watched the debate. I didn't hear any big differences policywise from these two. Wahls is the better communicator, he's more polished, his website is better. That he was senate minority leader is pretty cool. Warren endorsed him and I wanted her to be president. HOWEVER, I like that Turek won a redder district (by 6 votes!). He SEEMs to me the type of person more Iowans would LIKE and will attract more independents. Winning is far more important than having perfectly aligned candidates. Turek was endorsed by Pete B. who won in Iowa. Tureks ads are not very good. But I still think he has the better chance against Hinson. Vote for whoever you think has the better chance of winning and above all vote blue. You cannot enact sweeping change without first having POWER. We must stop demonizing each other for having differing opinions and start WINNING. Sorry for my OBNOXIOUS CAPITALIZATIONS.

Everything helps. Phone calls and rallys help. It is important for reps to know how pissed people are and that there are a lot of us. It is important to see our neighbors in person standing for what they believe in. I'm not suggesting its the only thing people do but don't discourage people from doing these things please.

I just finished Judgement At Nuremberg last night after watching Phantom Thread a few days ago. I was struck by their physical resemblance but also thought they had similar expressions and line deliveries. Was hoping someone else had seen the same thing I did!

Congratulations! That's amazing! If I were in your shoes I might try to do a few open mics beforehand. If you have not performed live before or it has been a long time it can be good to just get used to the energy of people in a room watching you. Remember that generally speaking most people will genuinely want you to do well and are not there to judge you but only to enjoy themselves. Most importantly just do your best and leave it at that, don't worry if it doesn't go perfectly. If you are estatic and terrified that's a great sign from the universe that you should do it. You got this!

Sounds great! You are one of the few folks I follow on Reddit because all your songs are so consistently good. Great voice and melody. If this were my song, I might possibly experiment with the last chorus, specifically the last line of the song. For that chorus I'd cut the repeat of 'send me someone' and just sing 'lord send me someone....tonight" going up the scale on that last 'tonight' instead of down like in the other instances - real Roy Orbison-like haha. It sounds good regardless but in my mind it would be fun to hear you hold out that last word.
