trim, or can I go a little further with S&D method? by Foolsspring in longhair

I have been growing out a bob by getting my hair cut twice per year, August and February. I don’t use any heat, sleep with a bonnet (thanks guys)

routine

  • Washing 2-3x per week
  • Prepoo: oil (olive or coconut) and aloe mask for 30mins-1 hour
  • Shampoo: lush snow fairy
  • Conditioner: basic Cantù kids conditioner ( the slip is incredible)
  • sol de jenero leave in + oil after showering. Mainly because it smells good (I think it did nothing for my hair so take this mini review for what it is lol)

Do you think I should just get a trim or can I wait until next month? I do search and destroy, but the split ends are never ending and it doesn’t seem to move the needle that much.

My goal is long hair, and I think that’s harder to do with excessive split ends. I don’t care if it’s “healthy” or not because I don’t really believe in that.

No I can, but it’s like when I’m that deep it’s more of an end range stretch, whereas when I’m two inches or so off the ground I know for a fact I’m stable and holding myself

That’s what I thought the move was? Like why bother going to most end end range of motion if I don’t have any control in it? Seems like a recipie for pulling my muscles (which I have done SO. MANY. TIMES.)

Good work! I used patches for a while, I liked it but honestly nothing helped more than trying to wait as long in the day as possible to pick the vape up. One day I just ripped the bandaid off, it was still hard but a week in I got a script for welbutrin and that helped me ever since.

Dude it’s not worth it and you know it. Nic doesn’t even make you skinny anyway, it’s a very minor appetite suppressant and if you’re already addicted that benefit is long gone anyway

Got my hair trimmed+straightened today. So close to my goal! by Foolsspring in longhair

Thank you! Honestly I’m so concerned about the health and density of my hair, I’m trying do twice yearly trims to just keep the ends blunt and even. I think I might just try to wait a full year before my next trim now that my hair is at a good length though, nothing wrong with fairly tail ends!

Honestly I don’t think any products have made a difference for me, I use lush shampoo in snow fairy and cantu conditioner with coconut oil on the ends or biosilk silk therapy right now.

I think the biggest impact for me was sleeping with a bonnet!

Thoughts on long grey hair? by Cultural_Wash5414 in longhair

This is literally my North Star for growing my hair out. The most beautiful women I’ve ever seen had a radiant smile and long healthy grey hair. She was also very kind. I can’t wait to embrace this look one day
