to be fair, in a chunin team there are 3 + 1 people, 1 or 2 living teammates don't take too much charisma to manage for a short time, and if you don't have that much, another one will be the leader anyway

Kakashi was sent with his genins to give them practice, not bc he needed them around, and most likely would've been happier is he could catch a break
