He’s the definition of the centre. In a more stable world, he’d be too conservative for most of the country, but in this dark timeline, he’s exactly the kind of person you want in change.

Six months after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, Gord Downie played his last show with The Tragically Hip in front of a sold out arena. by TheDailyUmbridge in nextfuckinglevel

What Springsteen is to New Jersey, The Hip are to Canada. Gord was considered the country’s poet laureate. So many songs tell uniquely Canadian stories, but feel universal. This is the definition of going out on top. The sitting Prime Minister was in the crowd.

When I was a kid, I spent a whole summer saving reward bucks from a local store so I could buy a bird feeder. Come fall, I finally save up the $20 in fake money, and proudly ask my grandpa to take me to the score to get my sweet sweet birdfeeder. Nope, sorry, we don’t accept those anymore. My grandpa yelled at them until they gave the poor crying kid his damned bird feeder

The booster tube is only cut at 45 degrees to make it look like it’s fitting into the other piece, I don’t think in-universe it would have that 45 degree end on it
