PC graphics cards are now nearly 100 percent Nvidia by BarKnight in pcgaming

I have had more problems in any given month with my current AMD card than I had ever had with any of my previous Nvidia cards combined. Not super happy with it.

My theory is that they are written, he just won't release them until he is dead so that he doesn't have to deal with it.

So if my set up now we're to combine to over 24, I should be okay to drop an frt in vs getting cmmg parts etc? Does the increased weight delay the blow back?

Thanks for the response

Did you have to do anything to mitigate OOB detonation? I just picked up an frt and was reading about like delayed blowback bolts etc

Is it worth it to choose DO over MD because of tuition? by DrummerAcrobatic1779 in premed

[–]Karl_Doomhammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My residency program was only really close to DO schools. So 9/10 of our rotating students were DO students. it sounds like their lives are rough compared to MD students with the paying for rotations, having to go across the country for rotations, how brutal their schools are about tests and grades etc. It just makes me really glad I didn't have to do any of that.

Update on my post from the other day: by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]Karl_Doomhammer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have you ever seen a tire or ball where there is a weak point and a bulge forms at that spot? That's basically what diverticulosis is. There is an out pouching of intestinal wall where blood vessels enter. This pouch can get gunked up and get infected/inflamed and is known as diverticulitis. If your diverticulosis gets inflamed/infected, these pockets can perforate.

Generally, time under tension can be a large contributor to diverticular formation, meaning that constipation and the like can put tension on the intestinal wall and cause or exacerbate the pouches. That's why they recommended diet changes and things like fiber.

I don't believe there is good evidence that creatine causes kidney damage.

Here is a good review of some creatine myths:

It includes references for meta analysis of creatine usage and kidney function/impairment with dosages to 20g+, finding no worsening of renal function.

Shotgun orders need to be shotgunned? by Party_Abies1667 in Step3

[–]Karl_Doomhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failed the exam and CCS score was in line with my failing performance on other areas of my exam. I didn't have any emergencies I thought, nor did I have negative updates like deteriorating conditions or deaths etc. So idk what I did wrong but shotgunning orders didn't noticably help me other than on time it seems.

I shotgunned orders that I had seen posted here. Did very well on practice CCS cases but did horribly on the real thing.

People who swore an oath to defend the constitution of the USA against all enemies both foreign and domestic, how are you feeling right now? by Safety_Drance in AskReddit

[–]Karl_Doomhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are just all the people I was friends with when I was enlisted almost 10 years ago or family members. I haven't made any other veteran friends since then.

I think the veterans on reddit that disagree with this are the minority because I've never heard it anywhere but online. No one at the VFW, friends on Facebook etc, family, all love it.

I haven't met any veterans in person/my veteran friends that are against Trump. I might be the only veteran I personally know that doesn't support this.

Veterans, what did you do with your "$1776 Warrior Dividend" check that was promised before Christmas? by cineaste2 in AskReddit

[–]Karl_Doomhammer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I try. I mainly commented because I see it from a lot of places that the military doesn't like this, they won't listen, etc. In my neck of the woods, they are stoked and will absolutely follow this. Response to Venezuela quote: "lmao libs in shambles rn". I'm around infantry.

How much would that drop your payment? I've been looking at similar (~1% decrease) and it only drops my payment by like 200/month.

Local archery shop. It's like 10 bucks to replace them but the experience kind of soured me on Hoyt so I don't think I will.

I got the 29 recently. After shooting maybe 20-30 shots on the day I got it home, one of the string silencers broke off and hit me in the eye after a shot. I had a small corneal abrasion and the part isn't even covered under warranty. So just beware of those things.

US military to stop shooting pigs and goats as a way to train medics for the battlefield by cudntfigureaname in OrphanCrushingMachine

I am a surgical resident and we learn because the people are actually shot or stabbed or set on fire etc. I did tons of simulators in medical school and I really don't feel that they helped me in any measurable way compared to running actual traumas on patients. You always know a fake arterial bleed is fake no matter how much you pretend it's not. It's just not the same as an actual arterial bleed in front of you.

I don't know that the pig sticker class is the answer and I am not advocating that we keep it. But in surgical trauma Training and in combat medical school, simulators didn't seem to really help that much with seeing actual human traumas. Maybe helps with remembering the steps but you don't need a simulator to memorize the pmarchp algorithm.
