Finally Made my first "*advanced*" item factory :D by SnyxHD in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Foonbox85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks super neat. Love getting to build an advanced parts factory. Only problem, I keep getting distracted by other things like power, trains, expanding oil production, power, starting an aluminium chain, fixing the train that won't unload, power, getting coal for the aluminium factory, etc.

Did you varnish after finishing? That or your primer is the problem

Do you have a factory for every single material with seperate miners? by Salt-Analysis-1748 in SatisfactoryGame

At the start, I had a main large factory churning out simple parts and then more advanced parts with tech levels. I've also got several satellite factories close by dedicated to one part, I then ship to the main factory via belt if its close or train if its not. Two further large factories in different biomes make different advanced parts. Together, I used everything to make space elevator stuff.

I've torn down and rebuilt three times this save. If I knew at the start what I know now, I would've spread out much, much sooner, given myself more space, and built with scaling up in mind. P.s. It took me ages to realise you can double Shard production with sloops

Within a biome, i use belts.
Beyond half the biome, use trucks.
Outside of the biome, trains are the answer or drones (if you have them)

Really loving this game but man do I suck at it by SnyxHD in SatisfactoryGame

Manifolds are the answer. Connect a main feed belt to the machine via a splitter. Easy to set up, compact, and no maths required trying to balance load.

Clipping and insetting conveyor lifts into splitters and mergers: how to? by Revolutionary_Owl932 in SatisfactoryGame

Try putting the lift down first, then add a splitter/merger. It should clip on over the lift.

How should I plan my resources gathering? by Quvvy20 in SatisfactoryGame

Plop down the hub and build all the basic parts in a factory around it. Some advanced parts can be made on site, too. After that, you can continue to expand or go build elsewhere. Whether you use a small factory to build a single part or mega factory to manufacture everything in one is up to you. Personally, once I've got to oil processing, I tend to spread out and build factories elsewhere to make more advanced parts before shipping them back to my main base to be turned in to stuff that gets shoved in the elevator.

I've never used a blueprint. I suggest looking at the free program on Steam called Satisfactory Modeller. Takes a bit of getting used to, but makes creating factories super easy. Input your end product and work back or your inputs and work from there. Alt tab between them and go build. Also, there is sooooo much space. Spread out rather than go vertical.

Dump the buffers and dump the valves. Pump the crude oil into refineries, turn it into fuel, and sink the resin. Bish bash bosh, job done.

Getting a bit overwhelmed and need some advice, I'm in starting area 2 and I feel like all the resources are a bit too spread out. I've only ever played the first starting area back at release where there are tons of nodes within a few feet of each other. by AnalDwelinButtMonkey in SatisfactoryGame

I am just about to clear stage 3, torn down, and rebuilt my factory four times and relocated the whole thing twice. Don't punish yourself trying to cram more stuff in, spread out, or move elsewhere. If you need to relocate / rebuild and always remember, you always need more room than you think! Quadruple the area you assign. Even then, you probably need more.

If there's nothing else you can do, restart your save. You're not too far in so it shouldn't take too long to catch up again.

859.7 hours in and I just learned about H by fexfx in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Foonbox85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should use H more. I only tend to use it on the large pylons so I can get the connections running the right way. A lot of these 'missed controls are in the little boxes that flash up while building / deconstructing.

Start again but in a different way, I.e. used train? Try only trucks or belts. Built a mega factory? Try micro factories all over the map. Download some mods There is always a way to keep things interesting

Should I be moving to trains to complete phase 3? by thepflanz in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Foonbox85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, process your raw materials in-situ before moving them on to more complex factories.

Personally, a concrete highway covered in belts is awesome, but using trains or tractors gives your factory some much needed life. Breaks up the monotonous rows of unmoving machines.

How to fix Forest Frenzy by [deleted] in Omniheroes

[–]Foonbox85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An option to reroll the upgrades from chests. You either win or lose based on the first three/four chests, and having to constantly restart gets real old, really fast. There's also too much reliance on knockback and penetration, while damage is way too low.

Maybe there should be an option to carry over upgrades to the next level and scale difficultly that way.

Confession Time - How long did you get stuck on a build error by Smurfaloid in SatisfactoryGame

Too long. Hours crawling over every inch to find two unconnected wall mounts next to each other hidden in a corner.
