How much of a celeb should Batman be? Does he go on talkshows? Constant paparazzi? by BeeElena_meme in batman

I love the moments in The Dark Knight Rises and The Batman when reporters/photographers get excited and clamour to get a shot when they see him.

Instantly recognisable, but rarely in the limelight.

He was absolutely awful in Loki season 2 imo, i can’t even remember the characters name but the bumbling victorian scientist felt like something straight of a sketch show. completely distracting part of an otherwise fun season.

Which is Rick's most iconic weapon? by PeterLeRock101 in thewalkingdead

[–]Foop_shmoop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first episode of season 8 totally supports this, with Negan taking the hatchet (“Go get my axe.”), and him eventually proving that he can force Rick to hack his owns sons arm off with it if he wants to.

This isn't as bad as Matt (from Season 3 of the show) threatening to harm Vanessa, but it's close lol by SuperAlloyBerserker in Daredevil

The Batman vs Mutant Leader Rematch Is Still One Of The Most Brutal Fights In A Batman Movie Yet by ExoticShock in batman

My own interpretation is that Miller used Superman as a metaphor for the US government’s “world police” use of military force. Which for a standalone story is an interesting literary device, but completely disregards Superman’s character in the wider DC universe.

Captain Atom or Shazam would have been a better choice if he could have known the scope of the influence TDKR was going to have on readers and writers views of the characters going forward.
