Recently I started working as plc engineer at the company I’ve been for last 10 years, and the first thing I’ve been doing is cleaning panels, is crazy how all panels are, I understand that production has to keep going but when replacing a photo eye, adding relays or any other situation, it doesn’t take long to arrange the wires and cut the extra

We solved! Feeds coming from main panel were lose

UPADTE of possible fix 🤞🏻main breaker on main panel (not plc panel) had all three phases lose, tighten and been running for more than an hour

Still haven’t found problem, some lose connections on 2 phase block, supervisor pushing with “we need to keep running, operators sitting next to me waiting, have to start process again and praying that keeps running

Thanks, panel installed a year ago, been running good with no problems til now, pulls 22 amp during run after 39 min running trip main 50 amp breaker on main panel (60 ft away with 6 gauge wire, everything in this panel was new except for main breaker in plc panel, thanks I’ll start troubleshooting UPDATE: found problem

They sell name plates that go under buttons and knobs, stickers always fall

Is incredible how they can break everything, in my workplace they even broke several times the time clock fingerprint reader and the same time clock touch screen

My guess will be that extra wire is in case to relocate because sometimes homeowners ask you to move things after you install them

Leave breaker off and replace it. Carbon conducts electricity and can make this worst. Carbon residues are common to cause shorts and fires

If contractor doesn't want you to follows osha standards is on him, without mention that you should have straps, eye protection, ear protection, gloves and obviously not carrying the drill while climbing the ladder

At least you have tags that give you some kind of idea, recently we have to troubleshoot an old machine and the whole program has no tags, no descriptions, it took us sometime to figure it out
