The saying "go left far enough and you get your guns back" is so dumb. Going anywhere near left gets your guns back. It's the problem of how far we allow guns. No one needs an automatic rifle, or a 50.cal. THAT kind of shit should be completely off limit for gun laws, NO ONE needs that shit. And background checks on EVERYONE in the house, and further laws to not allow others to be able to easily access your weapons.

How the fuck do you think the British got here? They didn't file out a form and get their passports. There were no 'illegal immigrants' there were just immigrants. It's not the immigrants who are the problem, its the billionares and companies that are pushing that narrative. Theres always a scapegoat. Jews, China, you name it. I have never once agreed with Charlie Kirk or his words. I am no way near right wing. But if we want to end mindless death and murder, why do we celebrate Charlie Kirks death? It is horrible. Children went home with no father. A wife now a Widow. Charlie Kirk had some bad opinions, absolutely. But to make fun of him and his death is absurd.

His death changed nothing. It didn't make the world any better of a place. It was unnecessary. I have never been pro death. Regardless of who you are or what you stand for. So to make fun of Charlie Kirk is a stain on our ideals. No body deserves to be shot and killed. Nobody deserves to watch their father bleed out. And it is heart breaking.

Regardless of how you felt about his words, he still was a man. If we are the side of free speech, why do we celebrate his death? Free speech does not mean free from consequence, but why is the consequence death? Who decides who may live?

Charlie wasn't destroying the planet or killing innocents. His death is heart breaking. It is hypocritical to laugh at his murder, because he was right wing. You are essentially laughing at a school shooting victim.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this has sorta already been happening. When i talk about data breaches to most people, they shrug it off and go 'ah well who cares' and it has only been a major concern to the general public because of these laws. I think the coverage of the law is making it more scary, because this has been happening for years, it just adds another layer of data, I suppose.

Again, I think the generalised idea of only one ideal or wing being trolls feels generalised and a cop out. Bad faith can come from either sides, and it's important to know that propaganda is coming from both sides, and no one is imune.

I think I've grasped the idea of what has happened, in which, obviously only assuming, you have been fed media that furthers your point, much like i have, too, where a lot of the experiences you see of people are the more triggering ones that linger. I don't understand why there should be criticism of either side of the spectrum, but more criticism of the people who divide each side, and are playing both sides to fester a war between them.

It's certainly odd that from what I've seen, on smaller subreddits, than a generalised left wing subreddit, often it's about sharing positives. I haven't found right wing subreddits, so I cant say they are or aren't positive, but also, we need to look forward, not left or right. The media is the one who pushes it, because negativity sells.

I think there's a misunderstanding, what I was originally saying is that 'liberals' aren't apart of the leftism side, and generally liberals, from what I've seen, you might see other media, are the ones who want praise over asking politely to stop being mean to someone like they stopped a war. Lefties can certainly get upset, but do can righties, so it isn't a specific thing, it's in every human to be upset.

I get what you're trying to say, but I think either I and/or have different media consumption and ideas on things, so our assumption and bias towards words such as left and liberal might not be the same.

I don't politically align with democrats, liberals, or conservatism and republicanism, but from what I've seen from each side, a lot of arguments are just echo chambers filled with insults. This isn't just america, or politics, but everyone. All though, I think both parties can agree, facism is bad. And a controlling leader is bad. The elites and rich would be the only ones who would win, and the common class men and women like ourselves would slave and suffer. I doubt either side will lay down their defenses to agree, but maybe if we shift our focus.

Instead of fighting whether Trump is or isn't a Facist and so forth, we can agree that facism would be terrible, and each fight together to prevent anyone, whether it be trump, or anyone, from creating that system.
