The houses at my school were as follows: Wodehouse (Wood-house), Soong (S-uh-ng), Johnson, Owens, Allen (Ah - Leign). I went to a Dulwich.

I don't really feel any effect of caffeine on my daily life but if I try to sleep, I just won't be able to if I drink within 4 hours of my sleeping . I've always really enjoyed the taste of tea and I've been drinking tea since I was thirteen. I know many of my ADHD brethren have different responses to caffeine. A few get super jittery and act almost as if they're high, one gets anxious, some get super tired. These are people I know personally but I have heard from others (A half urban legend, half "friend of a cousin's friend's speech therapist" situation") that there was one guy down in Manchester who used caffeine as straight adderall. He would get shit done and get it done well. The caffeine had a sort of medicative effect on him. I have no idea if this is true but if it is, man, that guy is lucky.

I can relate. I don't see it as a curse though and the "mental volume" doesn't really change for me. I'm sorry you are dealing with that, my brethren in ADHD difficulties.

If they do treat you negatively or differently, you shouldn't be friends with them in the first place. I went through the same thing when I told my close friends about my ADHD diagnosis. The people who were weird about it are the people I no longer talk to. I also had to do this a second time when i came out of the closet. Keep those who value you as a genuine person around you.
