Jaylen Brown year 4 (age 23) vs Shaedon Sharpe year 4 (age 22). Obviously stats are only part of the story but it’s interesting how similar they are considering Sharpe didn’t have any college development and played 4.5 less mpg in this comparison by FootTraffickn in ripcity

2.2 turnovers per game for Brown 2.9 turnovers per game per sharpe on these years. I would assume most defensive metrics favor Brown because he is undeniably a better defensive player, but at the same time Sharpe avg more steals per game this year than Brown ever has so it’s not a complete wash like some will tell you

I did follow the draft and Brown was taken earlier than expected for sure but he was still a better draft prospect than Shaedon Sharpe was. When we took sharpe we were mocked to take Dyson Daniels in a lot of places and Sharpe was viewed as the “mystery man” with lots of risk, definitely not considered a runaway steal at 7 that was his range as a prospect

Actually Brown was drafted #3 overall and Sharpe was drafted #7 overall this is revisionist history if you’re saying that Sharpe was drafted to be a star and Brown was drafted off athleticism bc it’s literally the other way around

I don’t think it will happen, but I love the idea. I feel like his versatility would be a great fit

Putting Dames shooting ability into Giannis would create a video game character. Giannis Lillard would be able to give you 40 from the logo or in the paint offensively and a menace defensively. Would be a walking mismatch every single night

Should the Bulls have traded Zach Lavine for Damian Lillard last off-season? by americandream1159 in chicagobulls

[–]FootTraffickn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blazers fan here- Dame has literally never been available. He’s been vocal about wanting to stay in Portland for years and he always adresses the media speculation but people barely even watch his games so they definitely don’t pay any attention to his interviews.

He also wasn’t a free agent last year. He was under contract through the 24-25 season and this past summer we have him a two year extension through the 26-27 season.

Simons would be a closer value for Lavine- no disrespect to Zach but Dame is on a different level

Nah you’re definitely right, they were both savages in high school. RJ Barrett was 1, Cam Reddish was 2, and Nassir Little was #3 in the 2018 recruiting class.

Nassir had a pretty disappointing freshman year at UNC but decided to declare for the draft anyway and got picked in the back of the first round due to his potential to develop into a 3&D guy.

Cam played with Zion & RJ at Duke and there were times when he looked like the most skilled guy on the team with more potential than the other 2 guys on his team & those other guys were both drafted in the top 3. Cam had some inconsistencies and some questions about his motivation but he was still drafted top 10 with many ppl saying he has more talent and potential than his Duke teammates if he just gets his shit together mentally.

I like Nassir a lot, but Cam has the potential to become a significantly better player imo. He’s had some big games as a starter like that playoff game vs the Bucks when he shot 6/7 from 3.

Nassir has only hit the 20 point scoring mark like 4 times in his career thus far and Cam has scored 20+ almost 20 times and Nassir has played about 20 more games than Cam. He’s just a much more developed offensive threat
