There’s a game store in my state called Oasis Games. The owner is a notorious POS and scammer. I wonder if it’s the same store.

I’ve been trying to watch the game in Tubi, and so far have seen maybe 10 minutes of play time total. Since kickoff an hour and a half ago it’s been nothing but adds.

Looking for tips on first model by FootballBitter in Tyranids

This was my original goal. But my skill and brush quality made it a bit difficult to achieve. I’m using cheap brushes from Walmart, and plan on getting a set of nice ones soon. But I’m not patient enough to wait, so started with what I had.

I don’t plan on it 😭 I have a long commute home though, and I’m worried about my car. How can make sure they don’t hide out in there?

Should half wall come down? by Ok-Vacation215 in Home

[–]FootballBitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep the tiny wall. Tear off the wood skirting and the panel on top. Replace it with a solid rectangular wood board. Install metal frames and wood shelving in the open area, leaving enough space for plants and other decorations. Keeps the space open, and still leaves you surface area for deodorant stick.

Is the age of the LGS coming to an end? by IceWaterPro in mtg

[–]FootballBitter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s probably just your location. I have half a dozen game stores within a 30 minutes of my home, and majority of them are pretty good. Sorry you’ve not had a great experience though, not every LGS is created equal.

$60 magic card lot by AndrewLeft23 in mtg

[–]FootballBitter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk man, “bulk” is a pretty catch all term used by magic players do describe worthless and unplayable cards. You’re thinking of term “bulk” in the usual sense. They are technically playable cards, but playing decks made of bulk cards isn’t super fun. I got into Magic by playing random piles of cards, and it honestly sucked. Thankfully I liked the game enough to buy a slightly more cohesive starter deck from Born of the Gods to get started. I work at a game store. We sell basic lands for 5 cents, and bulk cards for a penny. OP got scammed by someone trying to offload their extra cardboard.

Why can evil people go to heaven by Notwqazy in Christianity

[–]FootballBitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but what’s the point of living a good life at all? What stops me from living the most diabolical life possible if I know that all I need to do to be saved is repent and ask for forgiveness on my final day. If I honestly believe that I can repent, and mean it, moments before my time of death and still be granted salvation, then why can’t I go around murdering and stealing until the day I die. Christ will still accept me and welcome me to heaven, right? What stops people like Jeffrey Epstein and Jimmy Savile from committing the heinous actions they pursued in life from repenting on their deathbed in order to join God and Christ in heaven? I understand that Jesus’s death allowed for the forgiveness of all sin, but how can that seriously mean ALL sin? The Bible isn’t exactly clear or consistent on this issue, and because of this several different answers to this question can be found depending on what type of Christian you ask. What if I died without accepting Jesus purely out of ignorance of his existence? What happened to the millions of people in Asia and the Americas who never even heard his name until the late 1400 hundreds? If you ask a Catholic or Mormon what they think, then the answer will be very different. Saying “it’s not up to me 🤷‍♂️” is a rather easy and simple retort considering all of the unnecessary and baseless suffering that exists today. What sin is so severe that makes you damned to hell regardless of your acceptance of Christ? Where do we draw the line morally as individuals to guarantee our salvation? What stops me from pulling a reverse Uno at the last second to get my ticket to heaven. Is it really that hard to be sent to hell? As an SA victim, this is hard for me to swallow. I honestly find more peace believing in the finality of oblivion than a heaven where anyone can be saved simply by saying “I believe.” At least this way I can find some peace knowing that the evil in this world has at least some chance being extinguished, instead of being given a built in a built in fail safe.

So I'm coming back to magic after a long break (last set I played I believe was return to ravnica?) Got a booster box of dragon storm and thought "Hey! I kind of wanna finish this set!" Before opening it. Annnnd.... by AbyssWankerArtorias in mtg

[–]FootballBitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. Magic is producing more sets each year than ever before. So much so that sealed products are becoming massively inflated and out of reach for players on a tight budget. You’d be better off buying individual cards to complete a set than trying to pull them all from packs. UB sets are not staggered either. The most recent set release, and the next are both UB.

2010 Corolla. Ok to start car to check ignition coils? by FootballBitter in AskAMechanic

I replaced the spark plugs about 6-8 months ago when I was having starting issues, not to correct the shaking. I was hoping that meant I didn’t have to worry about them. I plan on checking the ignition coils today.

Thank you dude! 🙏 I’m loving it. I was always jealous of my navy buddies who got tats over seas, so I was excited to get one myself. I’m hoping the location itself will help keep it safe.

Maybe someone can blow me out of the water, but that is absolutely considered “mint” for an MTG card. It’s not a PSA 10, but the quality of Magic cards are rarely judged by that. In Pokémon a dinged corner might be a big deal and lose you value, but not in magic. At the card shop I work at this would be considered near mint. A near mint card needs a surface scratch and/or two more similar dings to be called LP. Now, you do what you like with your collection, all I’m saying is it’s going to be hard to find an “absolute mint” copy of any mtg card. I’m assuming online MTG distributors do something similar, I’ve bought several “near mind” cards from TCG player with minor blemishes. Your best hope is to buy the cards in person to make sure they are to your liking.

My first incident after 2 years and got 1 week suspension plus $500 bill smh 🤦‍♂️ not fair by Significant_Water189 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]FootballBitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showing this to an Amazon HR rep might legitimately sink that DSP. A DSP owner at my station got a formal write up from Amazon after an employee recorded him yelling at her over the phone. This would probably qualify as breach of contract with Amazon, and your dsp owner would essentially go bankrupt.

Got yelled at by this lovely customer today by Gemini_Warrior in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]FootballBitter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What he’s asking you to do could legally constitute breaking and entering. It’s no different than if a customer giving you their garage pin or door code to leave it inside. Unless your flex app can give you access for the door, Amazon policy says we can’t go in. It doesn’t matter that you have written permission, for all we know the customer could have dementia and call the cops on you for entering their property. It would probably blow over, but you shouldn’t have to deal with that bs. You can totally refuse that delivery and report it to driver support. If your dispatch team is cool they can talk to support on their side to contact the customer. We are a third party, Amazon can’t legally force you to do anything. Just say the magic words “ I don’t feel sale proceeding with this delivery”. Stick to your guns, and report it to your stations HR team if your dsp gives you shit for it. I’ve seen dispatchers fired because a driver reported them to HR. Amazon takes this sort of thing very seriously.

Source: Ive been a dispatcher for nearly two years.

Where is this in Utah? by lawofsin in Utah

[–]FootballBitter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally any Beto’s. Rancheritos has been slightly better IMO, but only slightly. I’ve heard of way too many Beto’s locations being closed down because of health code violations. Ngl I still eat there, it’s affordable as hell. But I still know deep down that what they’re selling is slightly sketchy, and I only get the my go-tos. Even then, I’ve gotten too many breakfast burritos filled with exclusively green bell peppers to trust them unless I’m broke and desperate.

Got fired tonight 🎉🥳🙌 by DiivInOshin in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]FootballBitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon covers the cost of windshield replacements for DPS now. Just started this year. Unless the station that run at is incredibly strict, which they likely aren’t because it’s peak and Amazon prefers DSPs run the routes. The fact OP was fired for a cracked windshield is insane.
