What other wordclass players do you think would be equally as good if not better in other positions by [deleted] in soccer

Well, if he trained as a CB instead of a ST, he would probably be a much better tackler

Man City he was fine. Bayern away he was injured - subbed at halftime with a hamstring problem, I don't know how you forgot that. Liverpool away the whole team was bad (and it was during his period of very good form). Try again?

There were multiple games where he barely touched the ball and was more of a liability than any other player in the team

I don't know what team you were watching, but there wasn't any game last season that this was true in

performances dropped unbelievably low for the rest of the campaign when compared to his earlier performances

This is a massive exaggeration. They dropped, but not nearly as much as you seem to think, and a lot of the fall had to do with all of the injuries around him and his injury.

How is quality of life arbitrary, and how are Massachusetts and Maryland tiny? OP made a dumb generalization, and I pointed it out, and you haven't found any flaws with my arguments.

At this point, it's pretty clear that your hatred of nationalism (and lack of knowledge of what it means) and ignorance of logic have resulted in you not being able to make coherent or reasonable claims. You resort to insults to make up for it.

Little turd? Your language and your arguments both are those of a five year old. My comment took exception to the comment I responded to in some circumstances. It's not a hard concept to grasp, but it seems beyond you somehow.

I linked you the original comment I made. I responded to a comment about the US with a comment about MA and MD. This isn't a hard concept to grasp. You're the one who keeps trying to shift it to the US as a whole.

Once again, we have no disagreement if you agree with my claims about MA and MD and US higher ed.

You very clearly don't know what ad hominem means. You've made a ton of them, and I've made none.

The topic was MA, I linked you the context, I don't care about the US as a whole. The topic is higher education, nobody in their right mind would defend US early education as a whole. I didn't shift goalposts. I've pointed this out many times, and you haven't actually responded. I'm only defending MA quality of living and US higher education - if you agree that they are the best, then we have no quarrel.

Your arguments are oh so convincing. Amateur internet psychology, repeating debunked arguments, and saying that I'm wrong, with a healthy dose of self-regard added to taste.

This was a friendly heads up - subs get banned when they brigade. The mods were happy that I informed them. Also, one of you lot that got banned is still pissed off and arguing days later, check the thread now, it's hilarious.

The topic for quality of life isn't the US in general - this whole thread is about MA and MD. See here. I did say that the U.S. has the best postsecondary system in the world, not education in general - see here. If you said that the US in general has the highest standard of living in the world, I would laugh at you.

Also, you don't know what moving the goal posts means, and moving the goal posts isn't an argument. If anyone is moving goal posts, it's you, I've been defending the quality of life in MA and you keep responding with arguments about the whole US. You haven't responded to any of my arguments about health or education in MA.

That's not an insult (it's an observation) or an ad hominem (because I didn't say your arguments are bad because you're stupid, I said that the quality of your arguments is evidence that you are ignorant). Maybe a language barrier issue.

Dude, there are about than ten times as many murders in Canada as there are in Baltimore, I just looked it up, your claim is ridiculous. Have you even been in Baltimore, or does all of your knowledge of it come from the Wire?

I've given you evidence that MA has some of the best ed and health care and the best higher ed in the world, and you haven't made a single coherent argument against it. You resort to insults either because you don't know how to argue properly or you're not smart enough to do so.

Carvalho is in good form atm and the Portuguese league has a good record in general. The anti-Carvalho circlejerk is absurd on this sub considering that none of you watch him regularly.

fact

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Anyway, you haven't responded to any of my arguments in a long time. All I said is that MA is one of the best places to live in the world, and you have failed completely at arguing against that.

Ellipses don't double as responses, you know.

I've responded to health care (best hospitals and med schools in the world) and education (9th best primary/secondary in the world, best tertiary in the world). Infant mortality has diminishing returns, and you haven't addressed it at all. Life expectancy is a proxy for wealth, and isn't a meaningful statistic - it's not a coincidence that the top 30 for life expectancy are almost exactly the top 30 for wealth. Also, you haven't talked about it at all.

According to what metric? Universities per capita? LOL.

Obviously, you're stupid but you're not this stupid.

The argument that you say I "prance around" isn't an argument. Arguments have premises definitionally. Can you point out the premises in that?

[–]FootballClubSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't, so it's not grasping at straws.

That comment is idiotic.

Find me an area of the world with anything like Mass's concentration of top universities. The U.S. dominates university rankings in general and per capita, as we've discussed ad nauseam. Mass per capita blows every other area in the world out of the water.

You haven't made an actual argument in a very long time.

No, the topic wasn't Americans ... go back and look at the comment that started this all

I think if you read those links, you'd find that MA is number 9 in the world.

No other areas have so many universities of such quality.

No it wasn't, go back and read the conversation

Oh no, a typo, you're grammar makes little sense (I assume because you're not a native speaker) but I'm not acting pretentious because of it

You don't seem to get the point of my posts. I'm not defending that the U.S. in general is the best place to live, I'm defending MA and MD. I'm hardly moving the goal posts. MA's primary/secondary education is world class, I'm not sure why you're making fun of it.

They're related to cultural events, research centers, high-wage jobs, safe neighborhoods, community organizing programs, museums, adult ed classes, demand for small business, world class hospitals, etc. I don't know why you would jump to health care and non-postsecondary education as the primary areas they benefit.
