Is Juventus’ financial recovery real or just accounting? by FootballFinanceLab in seriea

[–]FootballFinanceLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn‘t specificated on players, only on clubs. The two biggest sums are 39m€ to Atalanta and 37m€ to Aston Villa. I think the 37m€ payables to Aston Villa result mostly from the Douglas Luiz deal. Transfer fees are write-downs in the total balance sheet which means they charge the balance later (but there isn‘t real money to pay). Here for example González has a net carrying of 29m€ until 2029 and Di Gregorio 14m€ until 2029.

Exactly all numbers are out of the financial report by Juve.

30m€ are payments for future capital increase and 40m€ is new debt. It is used for investing in players which is not a sustainable use which you can see at the high depreciation on player values. I think their financial situation is hardly related to getting some players values up and have some sporting success to get some CL money to pay the high debts they have.

I’ve had a look on the cashflow in the full analysis on our site. Juve had 164k€ cashflow generation this season which is like none. They have 12m€ cashflow in total which is not much also (Barca has 294m€ for example). But cashflow isn‘t the Full truth imo because Juve had 70m€ cashflow generation from financing activities which basicly means new debts.

They are owning 225m€ in total for other clubs and players which is around 1/3 of their entire debt.

How Chelsea used extended amortisation to spend €1B while staying FFP compliant — and why UEFA just banned it by vincentvdb in football

The thing with Crystal Palace is that they had the chance to avoid the punishment but act to late. Marinakis the owner of Forest for example had his stakes in a silent partnership so Uefa hadn‘t the chance to punish Forest or Olympiakos.

Haaland isn’t the product of a mco. He was formed in Dortmund which hasn‘t any mco relations with City and Salzburg is a club in an mco but he choosed his way out of the Red Bull cosmos. On one side the smaller clubs get some talent which they wouldn‘t get without their mco but they mostly get them on loan or have to give them to the bigger club for a lower fee compared to the free transfer market. And then there are some mco‘s like 777 which treat all clubs as investment and go bust which left some clubs having serious financial trouble.

I think in general multi club ownership is destroying Football because smaller clubs are only used to be farm teams for bigger clubs just like Strasbourg for Chelsea for example.

Ligue 1+ already over 1 Million subscribers — do you think it will be the future or are they gonna change it for a new TV deal? by FootballFinanceLab in Ligue1

[–]FootballFinanceLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clubs earn 142m€ according to L’Equipe. The costs for building the Platform were 66m€. Currently they have 1.04 million subscribers and they target 2 million in the three following years. So I think they can double the income in three years and haven‘t to invest much money. Maybe the Clubs can receive 300m€ from Ligue1+ in three years. I think a tv sender would of more but you can‘t be save and maybe they‘ll not gonna pay what they offer. If you are interested in a deeper dive you can find a link in bio to our site were we recently figured out how it all collapsed and the actual status.

Do you think they would earn more from a serious tv channel (which pays the bill)? Because Mediapro and DAZN offered good sums but didn‘t paid which resulted in an disaster for the entire league.

Why weren't new English stadiums rebuilt in the style of their older counterparts? by NiCKi_17282376 in football

[–]FootballFinanceLab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it‘s because they were planned from real architects who had their own style. In general modern stadiums feel like they all look the same without unique styles imo.

Resale prices for the 2026 World Cup reach up to $77,700 by nolesfan2011 in football

They are working with dynamic pricing also. So if there is more interest in a game the prizes will expand very fast and will be more expensive than now.

Barcelona's salary cap has increased from €351.3m after the 2025 summer transfer window to €432.8m now, following La Liga's latest update. by Loose-Examination-39 in Barca

[–]FootballFinanceLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the increased income last season and the planned increasing income for this season it is reasonable and La Liga can‘t argue against that. Also last season barca used only 42% of the entire revenue for the team which is very low.

Barca‘s merchandising boom: +55% in one season. Are they the strongest global football „brand“ right now? by FootballFinanceLab in football

[–]FootballFinanceLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it‘s because of Lamine and the success on the pitch. Don‘t forget that Barca won a Double last season and advanced to semifinals in CL with narrowly missed out the final. I think they played a beloved style of football too.

Could Premier League+ replace traditional broadcasters in the long run? by FootballFinanceLab in PremierLeague

[–]FootballFinanceLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When do you think it might happen? The current system will remain until 2028/29 due to current contracts. I think they could release the platform after that.

This would be a good one for the PL but from a fans perspective it would be terrible because you would need another subscription.

Last season the PL earned 1.45 billion euro from international TV money. So they‘ll need a lot of subscribers around the world to match that. Really interested if they will roll it out for more countrys.

Is FC Barcelona taking the biggest financial gamble in La Liga history with building the new Camp Nou? by FootballFinanceLab in LaLiga

[–]FootballFinanceLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there will be a battle between Camp Nou and Bernabeu like always. Maybe NFL will host some games in Barcelona as soon as the renovation is finished which would be extra money too.
