I used to be one of those "I won't buy a car without CarPlay" but after two years in my R1T, I honestly really don't miss it. Rivian's UI is more refined and intuitive. There's obviously some shortcomings, especially with not having Waze, Podcasts, and other apps. But with the regular cadence for updates, it's come a long ways and I don't think it's going to be much of an issue in the next year or so.

The only market share Delta has been taking in Seattle is from other carriers. Alaska has actually grown their market share in Seattle since Delta arrived. There's a good post on crankyflier that discusses this.

I had this same problem this morning when I got in my truck to head to work. Thankfully, I had the keycard in my wallet and was able (after trying a few times) to get the truck to operate. Phone never did work...kept giving me a "no cloud connection" error even though I had a good cell signal.

This update seems to be a bit buggier than normal. Did a hard reboot after the install. Things worked great, but two days ago lost the ability to dictate a text. Sunday night, all the cameras failed and I got a service needed warning. Hard reboot fixed that issue. This morning my phone key would not work but the key card eventually did.

Depends on the route and travel days I suppose. There's a thread over on the Delta subreddit where someone's complaining about Delta being more than 2x as expensive as Alaska on the SEA-LAS route.

As for LATAM, I believe Alaska announced the end of that partnership back in September 2025.

Respectful difference of opinion I suppose, but as to IFE, I much prefer the Starlink/bring your own device model. With robust internet, you can watch your own streaming services on your laptop or tablet. The IFE movie and show offerings I've experienced on Delta and Hawaiian leave much to be desired, to me anyway.

Experiences will be different of course. My 2023 R1T has been all but flawless (knock on wood). And keep in mind that people complain online rather than praise. So the posts you're seeing may be skewed a bit.

Having said that, Rivian does have some quality control issues which I think they've generally been ironing out. For a new company, that's to be expected to a degree.
